they do work, with the magnifying glass one you need to hold down control the entire time and press play then click and hold while moving your mouse up and down while the guy is going to make him go higher or lower

None of those are actual cheats, they're either easter eggs or actual features.

(1) Actual feature - It's in the help.

(2) Glitch/Easter egg - You don't need to open a specific track, and you can use any tool.

(3) Glitch/Easter egg - You don't need to press pencil ONLY, and this is basically the same as the second one, only a different tool.
