Castlevania Stage 5 Boss: Death

I always thought the Frankenstein monster was the hardest boss in the game. that little hunch back hopping all over was really annoying unless you had holy water.

Death is a pain to kill, I've only got to him 3 times( 2 with cross, and 1 with Holy Water). The Holy water didn't really help because of the retarded syths appearing before I threw the holy water

One of the hardest videogame bosses ever if you don't have the holy water which is kinda hard to hold on to before you get to him. To get to death you need to walk through one of the hardest halls in the game which is incredible hard and when you have done that you have to face death without health restored. So if you gonna whip down death you need to be flawless. He is easily the hardest boss in the game. Dracula isn't that hard he is only strong and takes alot of time but not that hard to kill

Heh, I've only managed to pull off the holy water trick once. And that was with the two mummies. Haven't even gotten to Death yet. (I only got this game several months ago on the Wii.)

I always used the boomerang/cross approach, stand to the left with triple shot and fling em for your life.

I've only beat this guy once and most of the fight was spent dodging or killing sickles. A triple axe was used to take out sickles and occasionally hit death too.

Ive never beaten Death, but I also refuse to use this tactic of killing him before the fight even starts so Im screwed as hell this is fuckin impossible without holy water I thought I had him with the boomerang but could touch him with all those other fucking things flying around.

I beat death on an emulator last night. It took me an hour and I used the boomerang. It was fuckin annoying. I can't even imagine how frustrating it is to play on the nintendo and have no states to save. Restarting the level for like 50 times should be enough to make someone swear in the night and/or break his nintendo ( or even commit suicide with the controller cable lmao)

@MaxPayne92: When you play games like Castlevania on the actual system or something like Wii Virtual Console, you tend to get good enough at the game that it won't take that many restarts. And I'm not bashing you for emulating; back when I did it softened me up, but now that I'm playing stuff the 'normal way' exclusively again my skill has gotten much better without depending on things like savestates.

The only way I can be death is to play the entire level from start to finish without dying, get the morning star, the holy water and the triple shot. When I reach Death (lol reach "death"), I swipe the A and B buttons with my finger repeatedly downward and press and hold the up button until I win. ^_^

What sucks about this level is if you die after stage 13 (on 14 or 15) then you can't get the holy water anymore............

Well I find him harder, unless I have holy water and triple throw. Because If he moves I'am dead. As for Dracula I can beat him with single throw, or flawlessly beat him with double or triple throw. IMO Death was also harder than Dracula in "Dracula X", and in "Dracula X chronicles" if you exclude Dracula's final (3rd) form.
