Both, Kasparitis nad Stevens hits were legal and with the shoulder. Suggest you take a look at the Lindros hits compilation video if you want to see cheapshots.

The legality of the hit comes down to what the NHL defines as having puck control because Lindros goes 2 or 3 strides without the puck after he loses it.

kasparitis was allowed by the NYR to sign elsewhere, as they dont want him anymore. it is just like when a team drafts a player, and they are still in college or minor leagues--the NHL owns the rights to sign that player to an NHL contract first, but they are not technically under contract yet.
If NYR end up not signing him, he can sign with any NHL team.
so its really not a player loan at all.

...ur right to a point but NYR sent Kaspar 2 that RSL team untill probably well an agrred time bettween Kaspar and NYR but only as long as his contract doesnt end if his contract ends he can b signed by any NHL team or any RSL team he wants 2 sign with...and no its not really a loan its just NYR agreed with the RSL team to take kaspar 4 probably an amount of money..but he is still under NYR contract...the RSL team is just "borrowing" him untill the loan deal is over or his NYR contract is done

LOL that video they even said it was a 2 second hit and it wasn't late. That's why the refs didnt call a penalty. And the announcer says it isnt even a real late hit. the one announcer even counts the 2 seconds. That's Kaberle's fault for admiring his own pass. Please learn hockey. he touched it at the red line and lost it in his feet, there was a good second or 2 from when he lost it to getting a clean shoulder check. Don Cherry is right, thats why Lindros got fucked up, that and Big E is a douche.

Yes there was. He physically grew up very fast and very big. Nobody could hit him when he was younger, so he got used to skating with his head down. Then he moved up to the NHL and we all know how that story goes.
