SIr(s): If I may, at this Date and Time, state here and attest to the full how this dear Voice in the German Language so expressedly deals with the vocal scale that, as in My Recent Reading of "The Tomb of Tutankhamen: The Annexe and Treasury," by Mr. Howard CARTER, she raises Wondrous Things of Historical Import Beyond Compare. --J.D., "LeJean" SATX 78202 U. S. A.
Sir(s): With Pleasure & Utter Joy, if I may, I wish to send the Very Best of Regards & My Compliments to Norway Upon the Date & Time of the Seventeenth of May 2010. Upon the Tongue and Voice of such a Regal Lady, Here standing before All, I would hope to toast Ye All & Greaten Your Cheer. Godspeed.
Sir(s): If I may, at this Date and Time, state that some people of the Past so conveniently asserted that I find the Church to be merely a Concert Hall, but I see that Ms. Magdalena Kozena sang this Special Quality into Existence through Solo Voice. I really had nothing much to do with this Causation of Events merely from my Handsome Qualities which remain to this Day. Thank you. Have a Nice Day.
Like a couple of people, I guess, I think my favourite part of this passage is the recitativo (if the term applies?) before the final aria. Kozena makes everything sound effortless.
Magdalena Kožená has made Bach blush at his resurrection with her folly and timber to which the composer would have rejoiced as noted with the audience. 2:38 brings it to a perfect peak.
Love 2:41! Can someone clear something up for me? I have a couple of recordings by Magdalena Kozena and she is dscribed as a Mezzo in them. Is she a Mezzo or not? Great to be able to hear more form her!
Quién es estra maravillosa soprano?! la Kozena canta perfecto esta aria! su timbre es tan perfecto como el de Kathleen Battle. Ha sido glorioso este audio. Aleluya!
Pure artistry. A beautiful voice, perfect control and an air of complete competence and assurance. Gardiner known as a hard taskmaster, but what results!
jgrotenhuis, I am not an informed critic of Bach, but am aware of your meaning. I venture from, but always return to Bach for all his music. Thank you.
We all naturally respond to the joy in this cantata...do we realize the whole text is about sinners being reconciled with God? and the joy it brings? That's what motivated Bach in this composition.
Hey! This isn't 'Fiddy Cent'... =/

Beauty exists in a description of a vase, or in a face, in specific forms – and not as a form in itself.
