  • is the hamon real or brushed?

  • @Crystalbeastdude1 its carbon steel

he even says it in the video

  • ey samuraisupply like the online store.

but I found this and other katanas cheaper on both swords of the east and swords of might

  • is this sword able to cut without getting chipped as an example can it handle cutting wood cause personally i don't trust assemble your self katanas

  • how sharp is it?

  • HI I was wondering about the blade since i was thinking of buying one and was wondering if any of the masahiro or musashi blades have china stamped anywere on the blade?

  • @gaintpandafilms yes some do have china stamped on the seppa. The mass majority of katana are produced in China. Cold Steel, Hanwei Paul Chen, Masahiro, Bushido, Ryumon, Musashi, etc.etc are all made in China.

  • @SamuraiSupply i find it odd that some of the best swords i have seen are made in china....as well as the worst.

  • i hav got a big blister on my palm n my finger doe holding a katana too log n idk y?

  • too much reverb lordy!

  • @FatGuyWithAKatana hey. I actually agree. This was our first video and we are always trying to make quality better. Harsh critics around here. Ha ha. No worries. Thanks for the input.

  • i understand this may not be like an actual katana that can slice wood, but is it strong?

  • @haggis357 This katana is strong. For being just under $100 bucks, this sword cuts fairly decent. It is surprisingly not bad at all. With care and attention to detail this sword can last a long time and you will get great use of it.

  • can u take off the dragons? if u can can u send me a video of how to cuz that just doesnt look rite on a sword. and it bothers me

  • If you are referring to the dragon (menuki) on the tsuka (handle) you can remove these. They are normally glued to the same (rayskin) However, doing this also requires knowledge of tsuka-ito (handle wrap) as it may have to be untied to take the menuki out as they are held tight by tsuka ito.

  • I love watching your videos. You have so much knowledge and respect for the blades.

  • thank you so much - we really appreciate your comments! we LOVE swords and we will be working on some more videos in the spring

  • hm, if its 100 bucks i may consider dropping that much on this sword. looks great, does anyone know how well it cuts?

  • Hi dannybroadsword. I actually have one of these in my personal collection. In fact, the sword in this video is my own. It actually cuts quite well. It is not super sharp, but does cut well. Several of my customers are happy with this sword. We have a coupon code running right now. Enter "supply" at check out and get 7% off!!

  • whats the purpose of the menuki?

  • @thedoughnutanator hold the tang of the blade in the handle

  • Is this a 1060 carbon steel blade?

  • really nice video, keep it up :) 5/5

  • Nice video!

  • Thank you Sir JabsAlot.

  • I have the same katana ... It's quite good ;]

  • Would you consider doing a cutting demonstration video for Samurai Supply?

  • I could try. I'm rather a noob cutter.

  • awesome video! very informative and thank you for speaking slowly and clearly.... we heard every word! we have 1 sword already and plan to ad to our collection soon!
