I can't imagine being enough of a hypocrit as a country to talk about the pollution in China when almost 50% of the US power comes from coal!!! Also, the US emits twice the CO2 emissions than China!!! With a fifth of the population!!!!!!!!!!!!!
While recognition of humanity's "good works" is nice, I'd hesitate to call this video "informed". The SCALE of effort required everywhere, at the same time, on all of the consequences of global warming is unprecedented, and makes eradicating smallpox look like a high school science fair experiment. Unbridled optimism will just lead to complacency that someone else, with more money and time somewhere else will fix it. In the 3 years since this video significant action has been stymied.

this guy misinformes to a degree. Changes are he is biased. Perhaps he needs to educate himself politically. Asume the blame somwehre else Mr. 'almost' Brilliant.
sure most people are ignorant, but at the same time politicians and corporations are to blame. Lets get real. If if wasn't for the power and money hungies of the world we wouldn't have to be dealing with it now. The usa itself is the biggest comsumer in the world
Along with the people like you who think they are better than others because they believe in what they believe instead of what that other person believes.
Look people the climate has changed. Corporations don't care. The people that own them and their share holders are well equiped to move inland and profit by everyone else's misery. My neighbourhood is dealing with increased sea level rise and stronger tidal surges. We better learn to build dykes that work!

Al Gore's movie has been proven to be full of lies in British courts, and this guy is even taking it further. Rediculous! There have been overpopulation alarmists since the 60's, and they have always been wrong. That's great that he helped cure smallpox, but not even the IPCC thinks sea level will rise more than a couple inches in the foreseeable future. Don't believe everything you hear!
terra preta / biochar has huge potential to change 'slash and burn' to 'slash and char', and sequester vast amounts of carbon in the process while enriching the soil
The deforrestation and an increasing apetite for meat may lead to new human diseases appearing we are told, well let´s devote some of "our global warming efforts" on that! According to IPCC's estimate sealevels will rise 1½ foot the comming century as compared to 1 foot the last 150 years. How can people still talk about sealevel rises of meters, when everyone in the scientific community when challenged agrees that we are talking about maybe a foot or two the coming hundred years.
Ya I know its always best to review the scientific community at whole then take in serious regard the notions of one scientist alone. Some have agendas, but luckily things like the heavily peer reviewed IPCC report expose all forms of under or over estimation and gives use a moderate view. I only wish more would read them.
Let's clarify: When white people mean themselves, they say 'we' (the world population) to escape blame (pollution, etc), and when they say the 'world', they mean themselves to take undue credit (coalition of the 'willing'). Confusing, isn't it? It's as if albinos are genetically programmed to equivocate.

It's funny how all these American nuts talk about climate change without once mentioning that only the US has yet to sign the Kyoto protocol.

How could you expect anyone to take your opinion seriously, when you can't be troubled to correctly type a two-line comment?

The best thing about the melting icecaps will be that all the idiots who live in state of denial will drown like the rats they are.
