  • Ten year anniversary this July. We remember.

  • And I also forgot to add: "Hawkins and Powers as one of the biggest air tanker companies in the US", as well as one of the biggest air safety menaces.

  • The privateer is a B-24 liberator variant RIP!

  • Easter egg! First pic, smoke on the left looks like a spartan!

  • Plz put on ITunes? Make it free please! I love this song and have searched for days with no success.

  • Why does this happen to old planes?!? I was supposed to see 123 at an airshow. But got the shocking news.

  • Is this airspray?

  • not bad for your first vid , i liked the song too. R.I.P. the crew of 123.

  • 123 thanks

  • tribute to plane or tribute to those brave people who die???... why people always think on the materials .. and not thinking of those people who died

  • Nice tribute! The first photo is mine, I took it at TLH in 1998 while she was flying a fires Florida. She flew out of Lake City along with a DC-7, DC-4, PV2, P-3, and a few copters, NOW THAT WAS AN AIRSHOW!

  • Everyone of us that serve know the risk going in, accepted and agreed we did the job we loved for the land we love. God Bless and Be Safe

  • FYI - for anyone who cares, for anything who says "it was quick" -- it wasn't quick. Milt Stollak was alive when 123 impacted the ground.

And for those who say "They died doing what they loved..." My father, Milt, DIDN'T love what he did - not anymore.

Something for the rest of you tanker pilots to think about: the word "morselization" was used on his autopsy report. A nice way to remember someone you love.

  • @stollak1 I do care, and am so sorry. Your father will be on my mind when I see an airplane. I gave up flying years ago.

  • I miss these guys as well as the guys on H&P's C-130 that went down as well. We used to go snowmaching in the bighorn mountains together. Was quite the hit to Greybull, Wyoming
