Actually, I lul'd during a lot of this. So happy to see this documentary posted. It's a realistic portrayal of one of the biggest bands of the century, all of them cutting up but still working for create the best music for the sake of music.
I don't think he would have made that adaptation yet. Did they have Blackberrys during the '80s? But it's good to know that he was starting yoga so young. No wonder he's been so trim all his life. ^_^
the edge, back when that hat wasn't on all the time....makes me think of being in 9th grade. i thought 'pride' was the greatest song ever....though bono's talking about not writing down lyrics seems odd now...
@deeoosee not quite understand the context of the comment but in 85 the world did not know either, as Dirty Dancing and Good Morning Vietnam cames out in 87 until then nobody knew them
Why did they include the eclipse to this video and why this freaky music? Im telling you something there has to be some kind of meaning that we need to decode to this.
There is a lot of subliminal messages through this doc sneaking in sexual alluring attraction and also you see Bono drawing a picture where he has written HELP in CAp letters then you see him drawing the All Seeing Eye!
Thank you so much for putting this on youtube!!! I just started attending an audio school last month and it reminded me of how watching this video when I was 10 or 11 was what first made me see just how fascinating audio is.
great if they ever performed elvis presley in america along w/ the three sunrises & of course outtake "sixty seconds to kingdom come" always liked that song a lot great rythem to it like three sunrises
I think it's Wire, the same as appears seconds later. QUESTION IS: what's the song on 4.10??? I would kill to know what it is or if it became anything at all. It's awesome!
So that's Three Sunrises. Sounds great! I hope U2 release a remaster of The Unforgettable Fire plus b-sides (w/Three Sunrises) the same treatment like The Joshua Tree remaster. That would be so awesome!!!
The first part (as the camera pans along the ground towards the castle studios) is Edge tearing out the chords from "Wire", and the one at 4:10 is indeed "Three Sunrises", but I think what theyre playing at 1:31 might be a rough early rehearsal of "Pride in the Name of Love".
I believe 1:31 and what follows is the music for Boomerang which was the B-side on the Pride single. There were two versions, one had vocals and the other was a instrumental.
I know for sure at 1:43 to 1:50 that's the middle section of Boomerang,the drums and bass part for sure.
Why was bono playing bass?

It's funny you mention that, I've always thought that in their younger days, Bono and Robin Williams had a strong resemblance to each other.

@nazbuk
Swayze was in a few movies before Dirty Dancing, including Red Dawn and the mini-series North and South. He wasn't exactly an unknown.
And Robin Williams was huge before Good Morning Vietnam, both as a comedian and as the star of Mork & Mindy. Plenty of people knew who he was.
