@charrid1 indeed. the good part o southern spirit at work, an thas a complimentarily. cause weuns in a southland got sum histries that aint so pretty. part o the southern spirit aint so benevolence to all human kind. spend my fust 23 yeer down ther so i think i got a rite to talk. dont look like much change since i lef nether. The Reverend Mr. Cochran look like he tryin to do sum good as he unnerstan it. caint say i disapprooval o his method. gits ar atenshun, that fer shure. vinils is great.
At this point, I just wanna stick out my tongue and take a big ol' taste of Wayne's hair, like a Sweltering September night at the Tri-State Fair! Elvis couldn't carry Wayne's comb in my opinion. I wonder who was who's minion. I'm even suspicious of James Brown, the way they both dance around. Wayne's was out in '55, The very next year James Brown arrived.
Oh goody! More Wayne! I'd say he owns this song, like he did everything he sang. And anyone who thinks the CC Riders weren't THE BEST R&B horn band ever assembled don't know what they're talkin' about.
Slightly off-topic but this has been nagging me for years. Since you know Wayne, could you ask him if he's the singer in the notoriously wild early '60s Scopitone called "High Boots"? Many of us would be grateful if he could weigh in on this. (the scopitone is easy to find on youtube and elsewhere)
Judging by his hairstyle, I'd say this was late 23rd Century. He has that Roddenberry look, appears to be a relative of the aliens in This Island Earth, and even manages to reference Rubber Johnny at 2:53. Awesomeness.
Wayne at his best. Was this from the "Mike Douglas Show? Also, can anyone find a video of Wayne's version of "Proud Mary" (that opens with a snippet of "With a Little Help From My Friends"?

Jumpsuits, Sequins, Capes, Hair, alligator boots w/zippers.
Wayne's is pure genius, you've gotta admit.
May the living God bless him. Now.

If I remember correctly, Wayne told me that this was filmed near Vegas.

Judging by his hairstyle, I'd say this was late 60s, maybe 70-71. Not any later. Don't think it was on Mike Douglas though.
