Nice rex man, I have a 3" tbe with the same Megan downpipe but I have a magnaflow oval at the end, makes it sound deep n evil. :) Not sure why people are calling it an sti though, just because it has an sti wing doesn't make it one. Props on the stage 2 though, quick car.

@VVarrio TMIC -> Top Mount Intercooler, not familiar with the brand but I assume it's an upgraded intercooler.

The catless bellmouth downpipe would be a pipe that comes off the exhaust/turbo (not sure how they are in Subies) manifold and extends backwards to remove the catalytic converter (better flow without cat), 3" pipe from downpipe would be the diameter of the exhaust pipe coming off the downpipe. 3" allows a lot of flow.

@Kelavarus yep thats basically it haha. a stock downpipe blocks off the wastegate, but a bellmouth opens that area up and is open to the whole outlet, and tapers down into the 3" piping.

again...this car was made to be driven this way...if you have ever blown up a wrx or sti then you didn't properly tune it or...driver error...the sti tranny is bullet proof...as for the wrx the same cannot be said haha

The WRX tranny is 5 speed and is sometimes considered "glass tranny" because its so fragile. But the STi's 6 speed is bulletproof and wayyyyyy better

The 06-07 WRX tranny is very good. I beat mine all day and it's fine. The only time it becomes a problem is when you get upwards of 300-350 wheel horse and do clutch dumps and slips all the time.

the wrx tranny is weaker than the sti's. i've heard around 350-400hp is the limit. but with a lot of things, its driver error that results in broken parts.

there is a factory recall from subaru the rod bearings are shit. If you know someone that the engine has blown in have them go to the dealer they a giving everyone new engines with better bearings.
