We went into Afghanistan to get the bastards who are responsible for the 9/11 tragedy and we did that by killing the 9/11 mastermind Bin Laden and other Al-Qaeda leaders. What is not ok for the American people was to install a democratic government in that country and do a nation building. im also a vet. Active duty stationed in Europe. Ron Paul is a patriot. In fact he is the only candidate that has served in the military. And you are not understanding his statements the US was supporting the Mujaheddin, which later became or was related to the Taliban, who we are now fighting in Afghanistan. And since the Taliban and Al-Qaeda have very close ties, if not one and the same, logically, we could have supported them. He represents America not the world.

Generals mostly send men to die, while they try to look good.
