  • Like Dyslexia there is no cure. I don't want a cure. I am who I am, Dyslexia is just a part of me. :) Would you "cure" a "normal" person? Why not? Because they are what is considered normal? The world would be a boring place if we were all "normal" and the same. What is "normal" anyway? It is a perception taken from large group of people who are similar and seem to have no "difficulties". We are all different. Being Autistic, Dyslexic, Dyspraxic or anything else, doesn't mean we are any less...

  • important or special. There are many people out there who have these parts of themselves and are very talented. We just see and learn things in different ways. No-one should be judged!

You are very right and I like your philosphy. Great work. :) Jaqui and Tasha

  • @artyjax ofcourse you're right, but.. Dyslexia, isn't that having hard difficulties to interpret text? Is that really such a big part of you, that makes you.. you? Autism though, makes you see everything and interpret everything in a different way, and thats rather understandable if you're ''different''.. Could you expand what you mean? Why do you see reading difficulties as such a big part of you? Thats just how I understood it, I might be misunderstanding.

  • @NGC3370JT It is a misconception that dyslexia is primarily a reading problem! Dyslexia involves my whole daily life from tying show laces, putting wrong shoes on, telling left from right and confusing people with wrong syntax! Hand eye co-ordination can be very trying at times. Most dyslexics become very good at hiding things because we find it quite difficult in a non dyslexic society with people thinking it is a disease and that we can be cured!

  • @artyjax Dyslexia is hidden, society isn't geared up for the way our brains work, we have to contend with the way the education system is set up and also, learn. We use different learning styles, some dyslexic don't have much trouble reading just understanding problems. I don' know how to say this, I've just passed my driving test, the examiner had to talk me through which way to go because left/right doesn't work! I don't have shoes with laces, zips are better than buttons! It is complicated!
