This dude was insane. This is what being on the edge of an acid trip is like. Will you again know reality? Is it all just a dream? A psychotic rendering of your own that you have no damn control over. Its powerful. But then again so are you. You smile at the precipice, the swirling shit-hole of all that is. All that will be. You have control. You smile.
I find this perfectly accessable because its 'strange' and it pairs mighty well with St. George Absinthe (wonderful anise and fresh herb bouqet) or many kinds of organic wine, and I know because I am a proud ownder (capitalism, yes) of the rare album. That Babbit's music is not promulgated to the massess is beyond me, but then again I never went for the 10,000th rendition of the same Pop Song format, but lordy-lord this sound and some High Tide is what the '60s were about...Thanks for Uploading!
From a strictly musical standpoint, I agree with your juxtaposition of creativity vs mass appeal. Perhaps if visual image had not become such an integral part of how music is marketed, there would be a much wider separation between true artists and folks who just want to get rich quickly.
Now, just something to ponder: Did Karlheinz Stockhausen's influence on the Beatles, and/or his appearance on the Sgt. Pepper album cover, do anything to further his career or appeal?
I had obtained his address but was so caught up with school work that I did not write him in time. I should have written him that night and sent it the next day! :(
Bach... forgive him ...

This almost sounds like the soundtrack to "Forbidden Planet". I like it and I'm not drunk or stoned!

Man, get this music, fire up a dozen joints and you'll be set! *I don't smoke* but people who do will. :)
But seriously, this is the audio version of abstract art. Weird as hell.

@albear972 Do it for 30 years, with a banana in your mouth and fliped over. Youre gonna understand it.
