What memories this commercial brings back. I wanted this doll so bad when it came out. I now have about 8 or 9 Darci and friends dolls.

She was wonderful because not only was the doll NOT made to fit Barbie fashions (Darci was 12 1/2 inches tall, Barbie was an inch shorter) she had a more realistically proportioned body.

Darci really was a fantasic doll. Kenner was sold to Hasbro years later. It would be great to re-issue her for collectors.

@Idolmaker40 I'm pretty sure Hasbro re-used the Darci doll head molds for Jem and the Holograms in the 80s.

It depends on the usage. Some Darcis come MIB(mint in box), while others are in excellent to fair condition. When I bought my Darcis, I wanted to make sure they were in very good condition. Just log onto ebay, and type "kenner darci doll", and you get all sorts to choose from. There's even an Erica doll for sale, if you're willing to flip the high cost. Anyways, happy shopping! :D

Thanks for all the great info, I hope I can find something not too pricy and a brunette Darci . U were lucky to find MIB!

If only another company will remake these dolls or something as detail.
