What mods did you do to it? Did you add a stroker kit or a turbo?What is your quarter mile time like?

put Edelbrock heads intake ,carb and air cleaner,rocker covers on it, plus Harland Sharp Roller rockers,Hedman Headers, a Moroso 7 qt pan & pick up. I haven't run the car in the quarter mile, but it should do close to 300 kph

Yes I remember the black special ed . this was hot back in 1977 and 1978.

There were tons of these cars for sale used for like $6,000 back in those days.

I remember back in 1977 you could get a special Ed. black trans-am with gold stripes for 10,0000. now look at what they cost? what happened? Did technology get that much better because today's T/A is far superior to the older ones. But I still love the 70-73 bodystyle even though the 1993 - 2002 will kill those older T/A's.

There is one T/A that could probably beat the 93-02 T/As. The '89 Turbo Trans Ams ( TTA). It does low 13s on the 1/4 mile all day, and does 0-60 in like 4.5 seconds.
