Best part, hands down is when we see a man pulling some levers in time with the beat. Then at 2:07, the guy with the brazing goggles on looks just like Trent back in the PHM or Broken days.
Nicely done. I love how the ghosts tracks let you interpret whatever you will from them. For some reason this one makes me feel unaccomplished tho. Still a great song.
Oh Hell Yes, Bravo! Excellent work oppenheimer2006. I think it is a perfect fit and rtyhm. Not to mention the visual, I see, when America was great. But I am alas an older gent. This work means alot to me.. I can understand a few gens younger, could find it boring;))) Nah, no way! You will see this in my fav's. Great entry, Best to you!
This is the best non-mega money video i have seen so far. i love it. you deserve a standing ovation for this. and i hope you get a NIN plug for this by TR himself.
I like this one. Some of those guys are freaky looking with their goggles. Violins was cool. Didnt see where the ballet fit in much.
It would be better if the music went along with the visuals. Like maybe you can speed things up or slow them down to make it go along with the beat better... i dunno how u go about doing that but thats why I dont make a vid cus I have no idea how to do this kind of stuff..
like industrial imagery but does not stay linked with music and since the systematic flow of factories is the setting i think if it had been edited to sync with the sounds it would have been much better...
well, while I don't find this the most entertaining video at least this person is participating. I respect them for at least trying to be creative and make a video for the festival. I would imagine Trent would be delighted in the fact that so many people want to make videos for his songs. So what if this guy isn't Steven Spealburg? He tried a lot harder than the hypocrites who come on and dis videos without having anything better to show for it. Post a video that's better then you can talk.
Hi, I enjoyed this video. My only suggestion...maybe incorporate words? Have any done that? I am almost wanting "subtitles" here. Does this make sense? Good work though! Luv this whole project/concept.
I like how you have most of the scenes synced almost perfectly to the beat at some points and the synths at others. I really enjoyed this one. Great job.
Trent and the band just made the backing tracks and didnt give them names to allow fans to make their own interpritation films up so no! This isnt Trents film its oppenheimer2006 interpritation of Trents backing.
Yup. I know. It's kinda cool seeing something as unique as this. But what I mean is are the songs for the landscapes and situations he describes (through the music) in his mind influenced by reality or fantasy? :)
Yeah. :) Still no matter how many pictures I paint in my own head I'm always gonna wonder what the influence for the song actually was. It's just interesting is all. ;)
I guess the word 'ghosts' can be interpreted in many ways--- like in this vid, 'ghosts' meaning the past. All those 20th century innovations and inventions were the ghosts of the evolutionary process.
Really great work! Very creative job of splicing and mixing up the footage, and excellent work giving the video rhythm. My only recommendation is putting it to a shorter song, as I felt it started stronger than it finished.
It needs more content...a point... a plot. Some unifying theme that builds up to emotions. It's machines and industry but it looks like free stuff pieced together as best you could...not like it was exactly what you wanted to convey. Hope that makes sense.
Brilliant, man, brilliant! Seems very reminiscent of the type of archival footage seen behind Trent and Co. during live performances. I love the industrialist feel to it all, and got a big smile when the music picks back up and the woman starts typing furiously on the typewriter. Thank you for this!
