I think you should add a 4th criterion: Franchise is produced BY Nintendo. Even if a certain series has only come out on Nintendo systems, if it's being published by a third party like Sega or Capcom, it's still technically a third-party franchise.

You are correct, Philips developed a stand alone, optical based media system, and Nintendo had nothing to do with the development of the games, OTHER than to give Philips the rights to make them. They are still Nintendo licensed products, but not on a Nintendo console. It was part of a deal. Given the rules, they should not have been included.

What do you mean, if I can "show" you. Do some research and look it up. Seal is not license. As part of a contractual obligation, Nintendo permitted Phillips to make a few games under its license. They were LICENSED by Nintendo. I have seen screen-shots that prove it. I never said the franchise was bad, or ruined. I am only saying that LOZ does not belong in a list of franchises that only appear on Nintendo consoles because some games appear elsewhere. It is not a Nintendo exclusive franchise.

I've already mentioned that, and no, they don't belong on the list. It specifically says in the description that the list only includes franchises that ONLY APPEAR ON NINTENDO SYSTEMS. not franchises only MADE by Nintendo. Thats a mistake that should be what franshises are made exclusively by and for nintendo. @Duorsa Don't blame me. The maker of the video put very specific rules in the description and then did not adhere to them. To answer you're question, franchises like Fire Emblem, Mother, and Starfox, as well as some others that are in the video belong. This is because they are Nintendo system exclusive. If somebody wants to play a game in the series, it is mandatory that they have a Nintendo console. The same cannot be said for LOZ, Mario, and Donkey Kong. I'm not picking details.

They are not exclusive to Nintendo platforms. You should learn some gaming history, or at least do the proper research before making a video like this. Super smash bros is not really a Nintendo franchise as it was not made by Nintendo. It was made by Hall Labs. Neither is Golden sun which is purely made by Camelot.

I think Zelda is #1 but I love Fire Emblem and it is good to see it getting some love. However, if you have that up there then there is no excuse for the absence of Advance wars. If you have played Duel strike you would know.

I'm actually beating Dual Strike right now, stuck on the first 4-army level with a time limit and a giant crystal and such. A bit too releltless, I would prefer a difficulty system more than just an unlockable hard mode. But on the plus side, it has a few great characters (lash!) and solid gameplay. I like the whole idea of being able to buy units and earn money with more citys and such.

Normal mode can be a pain but you haven't experianced the game until you have played hard mode. It is more fun than the regular mode. The missions are harder but you get to pick any pari of CO's for any mission. So basicly for missions where you have a few long range units straight off the bat you can pick Gritt and dominate. Colin andk Kanbei are another combination full of win. I have spent over 400h on the game. Played the hard mode through over 20 times and I still have mission in war room.
