2. The right hand side of the head of the boom seems to be resting on something and the unsupported left side starts to twist to the left. If it hadn't been resting it may still have failed due to overloading but the twisting motion may not have occured.
So sad but at the same time I cant help but wonder who designed that ridiculous gizmo. Looks like a dumpster. Why am I laughing though? I'm going to hell for laughing I know...I just hope they were ok. Look slike they hit the roof. God help them.
i'm not sure what youre talking about as im a firefighter in holland, and we've never had these dumpsters. always just a ladder truck with a bucket. these are cops, riot police at a squathouse. in fact, its not even in holland. only on dutch tv. i remember years ago when this was aired..

Looking at it closely it appears that -
1. The cage was almost certainly overloaded
2. The right hand side of the head of the boom seems to be resting on something and the unsupported left side starts to twist to the left. If it hadn't been resting it may still have failed due to overloading but the twisting motion may not have occured.

This was in my country, holland, and all of the firemen did'nt survive the fall. the little ''dumster'' is quite outdated and fully updated now.
