I recently finally bought a wii. ( I always stuck with my N64 and gamecube and I actually enjoyed it a lot.)

So, at first I tried mario kart which was good.

But then I bought mario galaxy. it's good but never as good as Mario 64 & Mario Sunshine.

Mario Party 8 is boring.

Super mario bros is great, but I still ended up wishing it was on gc instead. I hate the wii remote so much. Most of the time,I end up playing a gamecube game with my wii.I'm still buying gc games, because I like them more.

@supernintendo4566 I agree but you left one thing out the graphics sure wii might be able to play SOME HD games gc games had more color. I would love to see another game have gc graphics similar to sunshine. Plus the button layout of the gc controller was awesome!

i have a wii and a gamecube and i have to say they have made some great titles for the gamecube and wii but people complain about the wii seriously it's like nintendo works hard wii and they have to hear this stuff i sometimes think we don;t deserve the wii iff hey can't satisfy us

the funny thing is the wii cant hold a candle to it's pretisesor the gamecube, cause the gamecube was one of the best things nintendo created, they fucked up their legacy with the wii, i got the wii and got bored of it months later cause the games sucked, and the ones that didnt were easy to beat, so now i play ocasional ps3 and xbox 360, cause unlike the wii, the have games that are actualy FUN to play

@DylanBStringer91 Well you don't have to pay 200$ for a GC Its 50$ now. 200$ for a system that has a bit more power that noone even uses to make great looking games. All they do is port shit from ps2, cheap ass games with bad graphics, gimmicks and like few quality games. So I piss on the Wii and I hate buying those stupid batteries for remote every week. Back then Nintendo knew how to get great exclusive stuff for their system but since wii is out all I see is shit.

@DylanBStringer91 Well then you are lucky. New Wii is for 200$, used are mostly for 100$. Charges take time to recharge 5-6 hours and you can't play in that time. PS3 controlers can be charged while playing, thats what they should do with Wii remote. They should pay up more M rated exclusive games and stop favoriting DS. DS has far more quality games then Wii, wich is wrong because Its the home console. For all the money Nintendo got on wii and ds they didn't pay up any titles.

@DylanBStringer91 When i said M rated I mostly meant action games, TPS and FPS wich Wii lacks and the quality of realeased shooters is very low. Since the Wii has this slight advantage over GC hardwere it won't hurt my eyes If they used it once in a while. So far there are like 5 games that look better then on GC and Its been 5 years. Also, I'm tired of massive amount of ports, old games and lame rail shooters. I like all games as long as they are chalanging and fun, so far I have found only10.

When you Purchase a Wii, you purchase a GAMECUBE, a reason I love it. I love backwards backwards compatibility. Not to mention all those exclusives on the Wii shop Channel.

I say the Gamecube is better because despite the amazing Nintendo titles, the Gamecube had many other amazing games from 3rd party developers, something the Wii lacks. On top of that there are even dozens more personal favorites of mine that I consider hidden gems, again something the Wii lacks. Gamecube was the most underrated console last gen. Not to mention it didn't rely on port's of previous gen games nor did it have gimmicks like "New Play Controls" and not every Nintendo game was Mario.

1. If you like gc then you must like nintendo charatcers. and their games are very successful. Mario galaxy, zelda, metriod, super smash bros brawl.

2.& gc games are goin onto da wii. Metriod Triligy (includs 1,2&3), pikmin, mario power tenis, resident evil 4, lego star wars complete ($20), & mk armegedon (on xbox ps2 not gc) & they all have better detail & new motion.

3. online play, shop on old classics, channels, and fun.

I love the wii I can download all the old games I use to love as a kid. Plus fishing in zelda with the wii mote makes for hours of fun. And why argue which is better there both nintendo systems.

Well I love my Wii but the gamecube for its time was amazing. It's half the size of an Xbox yet almost as powerful and it had epic first party exclusives other than Zelda and Mario. Also the Gamecube had really fantastic often ignored 3rd party support such as Eternal Darkness, Baten Kaitos, or even Super Monkey Ball. So yeah I guess the Gamecube is overal better than the Wii in that respect. But then again the Wii's life span isnt over yet, hopefully Nintendo has another trick to pull.

I have them both. The wii can play the games but its also annoying. I don't care for the wii games. But the thing always falls over unlike the gamecube. Perfect shape and place the the controllers. I hate having to use the wii remote to open the game. But the price also makes that little difference worth it.
