My rats used to give me kisses. They'd reach for my lips and give me little love-nibbles. Sadly, I had to give them away when I left for college. It was the hardest thing I've ever had to do. :(

Dear anyone, I could really use some help. I have two seven weeks old male rats, got them yesterday. Now, when in their travelling box, they were very curious and active. They got shyer by the minute when in the cage. I took away some of their hiding places and now they seem more active. So, does anyone know how I can make them less anxious and learn them to trust me? the food tricks don't seem to work...

Im 11 and I don't have a rat my mom won't let me! heres why

1 they creep her out

2 theres no room for them ( were moving in a year)

3 she has allgergies once i have my own room they won't be near you and she has allgergies to dogs we have 2 big dogs but i can't have a small rat

3 other peeps in my room (i share wit my sis) I GET My Own ROOM!

4they carry dieseas WILd rats do

5I DO TAKE CARE OF THE DOGS I HAVE some one help the closest thing i have r watching rat video reply PLEASE!!!

@wolfgal99 People hate rats because they have high immunity and can carry a lot of illnesses without being affected themselves. If someone makes contact with the rat they would get diseased.

Rats can be cute, when you look at one individually...they are animals trying to survive and they want to live just like we do. I see them in the pet stores. I could never feed a little innocent animal to a snake!

I'm sure your head is lovely! I don't actually remember if this particular one was a boy of girl, but there was 15 in the litter and only 3 were girls, so chances are this one is a boy, lol.

@Ingiequeen You can actually check. Do you see dots on the rat's chest? If so, it's a female, and that's its nipples. If you look between the hind legs and you see something that may remind you of a human part, that moms do not want kids to say out loud then it's a boy.
