@Sam84754 no that was different because those movies were directly connected and Wolverine was basically the main character in that. When the origins movie came people knew it was before the others. With the Avengers Peter is supposed to have a very brief cameo appearance meaning that if he was Spider-Man it may confuse the audience knowing that TASM doesn't come out for 2 more months.

@robinfan2 I think it was time for a change with the new series and movie coming out later this year. Also with the leap in technology I think it is a good time to change and update the ride.
