  • Wow you hit it man. Very nice.

  • This is actually pretty good! Nice job.

  • Excellent version, both vocals and guitar! :)

  • Fantastic performance, setting and presentation !!!!

  • I think Geeshie would be proud! Very nice.

  • Really good stuff, great playing and singing.

  • I love this song have you ever made a tab from this? I wont to play it too, I would be a lucky guy if i could have it.

    Thanks from eastGermany

  • Excellent version, great playing and singing!!!! Thanks alot

  • Great performance!

  • Can you give us the lyrics to this song? There are some words I can't make out. Thanks!

  • There's a word limit that prevents me posting the lyrics, but the three most difficult lines I believe (after a LOT of research and listening) are:

"I want you to send my body, send it to my mother-'n-law"

"When you see me comin', look 'cross the rich man's field

And if I don't bring you flour, I'll bring you bolted meal."

"Lord, precious daughter, don't you be so wild"

    I hope this helps.

  • I interpret the following..."send it to my mother-'n-law"...as "send it to my mother, Lord"

  • The voice on that video is perfect for that particular song. Good all around performance.

  • Very, very good. Thank you so much.

  • gravy

  • its abit blurry

  • Ever since I heard "Last Kind Word Blues" on the movie "Crumb," I've been a big Geeshie Wiley fan. Too bad there's very few recordings. Good job by the way!

  • Likewise!

  • i love this woman

  • Excellent version of this unusual and great song. Your vocal and guitar work have captured the spirit of the original. You did a very nice job of bending the blues notes in your vocal, which is not always heard.

  • Really nice playing and singing. I love Geeshie Wiley.

  • That´s the perfect setting.
