EC-130 Launch

Granted, this is not one, but for those interested, there was a previous version of the EC-130. The EC-130G/Q was flown by the US Navy from the 60's until 1991. It was used to talk to submarines, and has been replaced by the E-6A/B Hermes/Geko/Mercury based on the 707-320.

ahh the stories i could tell of the ops vs. maint. folks on these aircraft. i worked abccc also then they retired them.

Actually, this is an EC-130 Compass Call, they do communications jamming and suppression of enemy air defenses.
