  • TRUE HIP-HOP. NEW SCHOOL, BEGONE!

  • Love this bring back the good old days .

  • I had to deal with 2 years of looking at the front door with my ex. Yeah, this hits home today like it did 20 years ago.

  • 0 dislikes. Exactly how it should be.

  • LARGE PRO!

  • SUBSTANCE. TIMELESS. CLASSIC. REAL F***KING HIP HOP.

  • why does it says " turn off channel zero"

  • @YoungGullyBoy There's an old school Public Enemy joint about "Channel Zero". Its in part about allowing your mind to be occupied with mindless, mainstream, useless, media nonsense... "She watch Channel Zero". Most of the crap that gets played today is straight from "Channel Zero".

  • Still my fave song ever. Was the most realest song to touch my ears as far as dealing with relationships.

  • whoaa forgot bout this one ....pump it up wit Dee Barnes wow lol thats real...

  • Hip-hop is dead. This was the shit, along with Brand Nubian, Leaders of the New School, De la Soul, Tribe Called Quest...

  • I think the instrumental has been sampled in various forms many times. Classic.

  • Oh my God, l forgot all about this super classic jam!

  • 1st time I saw this video was on Pump It Up with Dee Barnes. My family didn't have cable then so no Rap City. That was one of the only shows to see rap videos back in the day. Had to set the VCR cause it would be coming on at 2 or 3 in morning.

  • Years from now. Writers, teachers will reference Hip Hop. This song will be high on the list. One of the great songs that defined one of Hip Hop's most beautiful Golden Era's.

  • i know everybody use to jam!! off this hit ,battles, da whole 9 luv dis JOINT!

  • This is so damn hot!! What are these guys and the others of this era? The fans of authentic, pure, creative music should BOYCOTT this sh*t that's out now!

  • Back in tha day when this song was ou, Lisa Lisa had a song out (I think it waz Let the Beat hit'em), that had the same beat. I was so upset at the club when it was Lisa Lisa not this.

BTW Large Pro was mad young when he did this song.

  • @biloxisean Oh stop being mad, The C&C produced Lisa Lisa joint is a CLUB ROCKER, still is. Large Prof is the man though and I still bump this...

  • I miss when Rap had substance like this.

This is indeed REAL hip hop.

  • ahh yeah !!

    the good old day !

    peace nice one

  • A classic from the professor, for the fellas...back then it was real and today it still is,a timeless ryme no dought....

  • who took this sample too ? i think pete rock but i don't find the track

  • The sample is from "Think Twice" by Donald Byrd. I know Tribe used the same sample in "Footprints". Seems someone else used it also, can't remember.

  • i hear footprints. damn that tracks hard

  • reminds me of High School...great song

  • yea yea...

  • THis is an eternal hip hop classic. Youngsters don't know about this. Lil Wayne is garbage...

  • i beg to differ i turn 18 this year and i know all about this. Souls of mischief, Skee-Lo, and more. Keep hope and real hip hop alive. I agree on the Lil Wayne comment.

  • Well I stand corrected! Congrats on your mature taste and hip hop savvy..

  • @TWN321 I'm young and know very well. P.S. I think wayne is garbage.

  • @tuchesuavae right! The most popular hip hop today is all about nothing - women, money, and being "hard"... It's great that you have a broader appreciation for music... The music you identify with while you are young will stay with you throughout your life.

  • @TWN321 Hell yeaz. This is the real deal, the real hip-hop.

  • @TWN321 That's RIGHT!!! He told her off without calling her a B or a HOE. Something CORNBALL LITTLE WAYNE could never do.
