Why does leather look gross these days? Why does it always look so much better from the 60's on back? I guess I'm thinking more of clothing but it does seems across the board. I've heard it's vegetable tanning but I've not been able to compare side by side. Everything today looks like plastic. Even great companies like Lost Worlds Inc's leather looks like plastic, compared most all of the old stuff.
It's unfortunately been deterring me from starting to make my own leather stuff.
What company is this? I would like a tour...
