no one should be alone like that i just hate these kind of ending but sadness is an emotion that we need being sad tells us we need companionship to live when alone we are not alive we are empty we are without happyness and when we finely find a companion its taken away from us its a simple fact that we must injoy whatever happyness we have for we cant have happyness forever sooner or later we lose it but we can always find it again someday just dont lose sight of what realy matters

The story I get is that it was the little dude's mission to find life in Space and when he did his mission was complete and he could then power down after accomplishing his mission.

Unfortunately for the little Alien dude, he's had that happen to him so many times, no one is interested in being his friend for more than a day as they shut down upon finding life and the little microchips are data for later explorers to use.

maybe many like him have been sent on a similar mission, but cannot survive on that planet because of a lack f oxygen or some chemical in the air that kills them. When they die the little card gets released explaining why they've died, which unfortunately the living creature can't read. if he could read it then maybe he could've saved their lives.
