  • Even though I LOVED this bike it did not hold up to me. I ended up returning it after two weeks. The pedals fell off the bike and I would have had to replace the entire pedal system in order to keep the bike. Other than that I absolutely loved this bike. This is the new bike I settled on "Mongoose Deception 29" Mountain Bike".

  • Nice video! I'm thinking about getting one of these...but I want to know if the bike has held up since you posted this review about 6 months ago. I know schwinns can be a hit or miss....thanks!

  • i just bought one like this and its good too, mine one was more skinner the tire but overall its pretty good bike so far...

  • @ogostaboy - Thanks for the comment. For the price this bike is rock solid. Yes, you may want to upgrade a few things but just alone Schwinn has put together a bike that will satisfy the masses.

  • I bought that same bike.for about 300$ from Target.MY seat is better than this but i have no shock seat post.upgradet the tires to Bontrager (45$ each).spend almost 300$ in accessories alone-don't have to do that.Great looking bike and it doesn't feel cheap like a Walmart crap.Gave it a very hard ride and it's a rock. With a good tune up breaks and gears are awesome.Ok speed for a hybrid-for more speed i got me a Treck 1.5 road bike-899$.This Schwinn is great value for money!

  • You are going to see lower quality with the bike from Target. Target's bikes are entry level bikes, not top of the line. So, it all depends on you level of activity. If your buying a bike just to ride around the block a few time a week I would go with Target. But if your looking for something more go with the other bike.

  • I was looking at this bike in target today! Good review. Question...I was at a local bike shop that sells Trek bikes, I was told not to purchase at a department store because of lack of quality. The Trek was 500, do you think it's worth shelling out the extra cash? Or Should i save and go with this one? I'm 5'8" 180 pounds.

  • @PARIS3701 yeah definitely. treks have shimano casette hubs rather than some cheap freewheel hub like this schwinn. if i were you id go for the 7300
