I bought i £1900 Gibson SG just for this, broke the strap then realised that i needed to break the top, after cutting it in half. I then smashed the guitar via a convenient window, it landed on my dog, I got sued for animal cruelty and all I have is a broken belt, squashed dog and my youtube account, thanks to web cafés... doesnt seem that hard, just cut the ends, make holes for the strap lock, then hust sew the parts that u cut, im not sure how you'd make it adjustable tho O.o

Just cut the belt in half, punch holes in the newly cut ends for the strap locks and use the buckle and the holes that were already in the belt to adjust it.

Yeah, just make sure you get a long enough belt for it to fit and actually be adjustable.

I got the idea after I saw a Slash poster and he had a strap on his Les Paul that looked like a really thin belt.

I thought it was cool and since the only ones I found that looked like it were outrageously expensive, I figured it would be cheaper to make one even if it meant buying a really long belt.

i did it the other way around and used an old (and fucking cheap) leather belt to make my strap longer, just took 4mm of the sides so it would fit and tried to make the same hole for the strap button as the original strap had. it works great and you dont even notice its made from a belt
