  • I lost the crown. Can anyone help, please?

  • can i get this gmt version (ceramic bezel) but instead of the green hand. a yellow/gold one??

  • awesome. got neckache tho

  • Great Video, it would be awesome if you could make a video on how to set a vintage 1675 to show how to set GMT when the 12 hour adn 24 hour are not "detatched"/able to be set separate.

  • Please go to facebook and search "thewatchcollectorny" and "like" us to follow our specials.

  • That's the correct way to set the GMT master up!

  • I remember watching this video several times before I bought my 116713...

  • A couple of things;

GMT is not now a commonly used term, UTC is the current reference (although I suppose the French will dream up something else and start agitating; they were offended by "Greenwich" and insisted that go or they'd take all their croissants home.

"Time in London" is confusing as London does use DST. You want to use eg. 1400Z (Zulu) or 1400UTC. The rotating bezel is a holdover from the straight GMT and is not particularly useful. It makes more sense to reset the hour hand ....

  • @schlusselmensch to local time; it's not possible to glean the local time at a glance with the bezel method you used. The position of watch hands is too well ingraved in our heads so it just doesn't work. If you displace the bezel you will forget and while filing flight plans you'll end up telling the FSS that you intend to depart 3 hours ago lol. The Explorer II is somewhat better in this respect with an immovable bezel.

  • Hey thank your for explaining this the manual is vague. And thank god I literally found it at 530 new York time !!!!

  • I've got a Red and Black GMT Master II. I bought it in 2004.

It's a great watch and I use it alot as I travel between Europe and Australia with stops in Bangkok.

When i land in Bangkok, I just rotate the bezel to local time and i never miss my plane.

It's great for intercontinental traveller's and airline pilots.

  • Stupid watch. Who has the time to learn this shit.

  • @kingwleung youre stupid

  • @SebasCine I am not stupid. I am practical. BTW, I have a sea-dweller, so I kind of know what I am talking about. Using your smart phone to check world time takes 5 sec. while spending $7k on a watch to tell u world time in 60 secs makes no sense to me.

  • @kingwleung I dont understand why you write a really stupid commentar about the watch.. its a beautifull watch and im sure the owner of this watch is really proud of it.. so you as a rolex owner should know that buying a watch like this should be taken as an investment and not as a "spending money for a watch"

  • @kingwleung for one, i took the time to watch this video and educate myself....who has the time to watch fucking videos of your daughter... go fuck yourself.

  • One thing I'm not clear on: does this have a hack seconds feature, so you can set the time to the exact second?

  • Are you serious, I have a Rolex and this video is stupid. If you pay a 25 k for a watch you should just have some intelligence to know how to use the watch.

  • You can actually track 3 time zones with this watch because you can set the hour hand without moving the 24 hour hand. This was the main change from the original GMT to the GMT II.

Hour hand = first time zone.

24 hour hand in reference to hour markers on the face = second time zone.

24 hour hand in reference to the bezel = third time zone.

  • This the best explanation I have heard on how to use the GMT. I have a friend who has one but he never could explain to me how it worked. The 2nd hour hand (the big one) being at GMT and then adjusting the ring +/- off GMT for your travel destination makes perfect sense, once you see it done. Thanks for the great explanation!

  • Finally, the three time zone feature makes since. Good video.

  • THANK YOU! I have been wearing a rolex with the wrong time for days!!! hahahaha

  • Thanks for the information it helped me set my Pasha GMT

  • so no matter what your time zone, you set the watch to GMT and then you set the 12 hour hand to your home time zone, right? and then you can also track a third time zone by rotating your bezel?

  • people who dont like the rolex are people who never held a real one in there hands

40 mins ago i was one of those people i have fell in love with these watches

  • Thanks for the clear explanation!

  • @PAL122995 why the CAPS? stfu cunt

  • @alifero WHY I LIKE TO TYPE JUST THE WAY I WANT TO

  • @PAL122995 Just a friendly tip - on the Internet, typing messages in ALL CAPS is considered SHOUTING - and it's very hard to read besides. Not telling ya what to do, just passing along some info is all. ;)

  • I have one but in SS see my videos. its very comfy due to the flat case back. sits still on the wrist. it is a bit more heavy compared to my submariner due to super case and full mid links but that's about that, The bracelet is fabulous as is the clasp.

Highly recommended im wearing mine as i type this.

  • anyone have it, how comfortable is it?

  • no watch is as comfy as a rolex

  • @Mr000Hyde You should try it on, it's really heavy but I love to wear it..

  • @Mr000Hyde i own a 116610 ln submariner and it is the same shape and once you wear it for a while you don't even know its on your wrist

  • Great Video.......now I know how to set my GMT2. Thanks.
