Anyone saying they've done this before has no idea what they are talking about. Maybe the angle doesn't fully convey the sheer awesomeness of this kick. From a different angle you can see just how much break there is on this ball at the very end. Watch the video again and notice the ball boy in the background, 10 feet to the right of the goal, start to duck out of the way because he thinks it is going to hit him. Physicists have actually studied this kick to see if it was just a fluke.
