You can play it open string 3rd and fourth to 3rd and fourth fret. Other than that, you are playing an octave higher or on a single string and that's not how it's played. Three ways, that's it. Show me, tell me, how else you can play it

I usually go for the easier and best sounding. For instance I play Iron Maiden's "Aces High" completely different. It's easier to utilize open notes there. @ykcirt89 If u mean really deep and distorted sounding, You need an amp. Put the Gain or Distortion (Whichever one it shows on the label) up a few points and you should see a difference. I have a Fender Squier and I bring up the volume on the guitar to about 7 or 8, and the gain to about 4 or 5.

Real Way:1.Strum Open D and G strings, then 3rd fret for both strings, then slide down both strings to the 5th fret. 2.Next, is Open D and G, 3rd D&G then 6>5 quickly. 3.Then, Repeat number one, then play D&G 3rd, then open.

I can take time to teach 'Hot Crossed Buns' to a group of first graders but that doesn't make me special or some God-like holy man. Too many teachers have taken it down this path and that bothers me. My 'comeback' is the same with nurses -- "When you go on strike, are you going to put the ethic of teaching ahead of your salary? I bet not!
