It is only even remotely "green" and healthy if only 100% organic, non-gmo food is used. And less reliance on huge energy load drain for processing machinery / energy usage.
@oceanirons Shearer's has taken a step in the right direction though. If something that's 100% organic, non-gmo is "remotely green" to you, then I think your standards may be a bit high, and I doubt you're in the market for manufactured snack foods... For everyone else, this is a pretty big deal :)
So for these chips to be made there needs to be machines, and machines make those machines, then other machines make those machines that make the machines....MINDBLOWING
