Do you plan on doing a speed run with Proto Man? I'd like to see that. I liked this video too. I'm going to apply some of the tricks you used to make my second playthrough easier. I got MM9 the day it came out on Wii, Sept. 22, but I've only played through it once! I've gotten to Wily's Castle 2 with Proto Man, but I haven't beaten it yet, so I think a Proto Man speedrun would be cool (and helpful).

No, I do not have any plans on running Proto Man, Hero Mode, or Super Hero Mode, nor am I really working on improving this run. I've moved on to new things and improving other runs I've done.

In-game timer is used, which doesn't count a lot of things, like stage select screen, weapon get screen, etc.

I downloaded Mega Man 9 two days ago and I am fully occupied with my third playthrough now, where I try to use all of your tricks shown in this vid. I've cut down my time to 18 minutes before the Dr. Wily stages- thx a lot!

Try formulating a rigid plan for each and every area and sticking to it.

I'm somewhat winging it, but somewhat on a plan. And part of the plan is to get a base, get other's suggestions, then apply. I don't always have all of the answers, and I'm sure somebody else has a better one. Two heads are better then one, right?
