  • love the setup, mad skills. how did you attatch the chain hoist to the line? it looks like your using a prussik setuP? im trying to figure out a way to attatch my chain hoist and remove it after, without using a gibbon linegrip. thanks in advance! once again, amazing line.

  • 3:53 is when he actually starts walking. Congratulations to this guy!

  • Now it's 300 meter long....'n soon 500m long will be the world record

  • /watch?v=WEiLLZAJpWI&

  • oh, lol, i thought it was 405 feet high..... not long.

  • nice mount

  • You know, he would of had a faster time if he had just run across it :)

  • Must be just the rigging system and tension but that looks a lot easier than the 100-200ft lines i send...

  • wow that is seriously high tension. the line would be impossible to walk without it. despite the high tension you can clearly see the vibrations, and those are tough to dampen. especially for such a long time. he must be fit..

  • @haraldpost yea I'd say his legs were wrecked after that from all the bouncing up and down and stability!

  • some take some skill nice work

  • 181,546 views and not a single comment?

  • O.O ich komm auf einer 30mm Leine grad mal 4 Schritte weit und der macht sowas :D einfach nur verrückt xD

  • Not fair to set a world record before anyone even knows about the sport. Looks interesting though

  • @eagillum people do know about the sport, its been going on for decades now, although i would say a boom has happened over the last couple of years. Its best known amongst the rock climbing communities.

  • why did he start crying what a bitch

  • Very very well done

  • What was used in this setup?

I see the chain winch, but then there's the pulley blocks?

    Regardless, awesome job dude.

  • you, sir, must have some amazing leg muscles

  • haha such a badass acheivment yet such a boring video

  • doesn't look slack??? look at how much he is wobbling back and forth! he is moving about a foot in each direction! This takes INTENSE concentration.

  • I cannot get across a 50' line. Ridiculously awesome.

  • Pretty impressive, didn't even have a safety tether! Seriously though that takes incredible concentration.

  • thats sick!! thats guy´s not normal

  • thats insane. i could never do it. is it still slacklineing though? it doesnt even slack.

  • very good --> wow :-)

  • i thought it was gunner be 405 foot high... but well done anyway it was really good

  • lots of people do 3000-ft high slacklines in yosemite...i think 405 feet long is more impressive, really.

  • it'd be funny if some dude were to run out of nowhere and just wave the line like it was on fire... lol

  • lol, thumbs up to that shit

  • buddy your a little faggit i bet u haven't even done slack linning if soo i want to see a vid you little pussy

  • yea but dude by the looks of it all you do is play halo so check yo self before yo make yourself look like a dick self

  • fabulous concentration! I am blown away by your skill and focus!

  • wow, fuckin amazing balance dude great job

  • i bet he would be anoyed if he fell on those 2 jumps

  • i did that once. no, wait, twice.

  • arr i thought it would be 405 high!

  • lol 2:20 - "Zabic sie" :P

  • BUROCRACIA!!!!!!!

  • pearl jammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

  • good but not the world record

  • It might help your claim if you let us know what the world record is and who achieved it.

  • What kind of response is that? Unless you hold the record (and I know you do not) then you have no reason to make such a comment.

This may not be the current world record, but it was at the time. About two months after this was filmed Andreas Thoelke set a new record (443 ft), which was then broken again by Mr. Cooksey (506 ft). Nice job, Damien. Any word about longer attempts from anyone?

  • yeah i'm pretty sure that's what everybody uses. 1" tubular webbing.

  • It's usually 1 inch nylon webbing... at least that's what I (and everyone I know) use. :)

  • what is the slackline made of? it almost kind of ribbon

  • It's 1 inch tubular webbing used for rock climbing. Available at REI for about 29 cents a foot.

  • cool man, thanks

  • The song matched so well to the feel of the vid. Great Job!

  • I am looking for a tensiometer like that one or at least one that goes up to a metric ton. Where did you get it and how much did it cost? Also what ratchet are you using?

  • was that ryan dunn @ 7:23 in the maroon hoodie?

  • ROFL

It looks JUST like him if it isnt LOL

  • Id laf if gettin off he did an ol' nut craker

  • but can you juggle at the same time?

  • Just getting that thing set up would be hard, let alone walking it!

  • was the line threaded?

  • nice balance lol

  • really nice!!!

  • was that done Redpoint?

  • omfg amazing.

  • holy shit. walking on air

  • put ur hands in the air

  • to much preperation

  • holy crap, i dont think i can even do 50 yet, thats awesome!

  • somewhat interesting.... however, whats with all the dramatics at the end? He acts like the world record (which... *ahem*, he set FOR THE SECOND TIME earlier that year) hadn't been broken since 1809.

  • He said in the video he had to jump twice because the line had a twist near the end and it was the only way he could get past it.... paying attention to details may save your life.

  • God I sure wouldn't want that to snap and send metal parts flying. Quite the setup. Even at 1650 kilos, its still unstable and wobbley. Rock on.

  • yawn!!!!

  • bet u cant do dat

  • this is not the world record for the longest line. The longest line was 443 feet or 135 meters and was walked by Andreas Thoelke of Germany. very impressive nonetheless.

  • it was a world record at the time.

  • bardzo dobrze

  • where do you but a slackline?

    How much?

  • slackline . com

    slackline . net

    slackstar . net

  • Very nice! A friend of mine here in the States walked a 450 foot line. Do you highline as well?

  • well done! i was tightening a 120 foot single line recently and broke the webbing at the spot where it is hitched with a chain link. (just how you did it in the video) did you use a threaded line? and how did you tighten it?

  • The chain link must be smooth, and it helps to put some padding (other webbing) around the line before using the line locker.

  • was the line threaded, though? (I think you said that the line had more than 3,000lbs of tension before you even stepped on it...) I appreciate the feedback-- i'm starting to walk longer lines and don't ever want to be in the wrong place when one breaks.

  • awesome

  • we're doing slack lining at school right now, it's so fun!! 405 feet is amazing!!! and the line was moving a lot too! or it looked like it...freaking awesome!

  • Sensacional....

O E.S Brasil.. parabeniza o atleta e reconhce essa vitória!!!

  • Hey how long did it take to walk the whole thing?

  • 9 minutes 32 seconds, start to finish.

  • I answered my question about you being the inventor, sorry about my ignorance...

  • Hey Damian, That is really amazing to be honest...THis guy in one of my classes goes on and on about slacklining...It really is a strange addiction...I guess I'm one to talk. Anyways, Are you the inventor of slacklining?

  • Awesome. So what's next on your slackline to-do list?

  • congrats, that was insane.

  • realy good job dude...amazing!

  • What The Name Of The Song That Was Playing While You Where Walking??

  • Release, Part 1 - By: Pearl Jam

  • intense. cant imagine what that line feels like!

  • How high off the ground were you in the middle? I cant imagine how tight it must have been so you werent bottoming out 200 feet into the line.

  • How high off the ground were you in the middle? I cant imagine how tight it must have been to stay off the ground 200 feet into the line.

  • The line was about 8 or 9 feet high at the ends, and I was about 2 or 3 feet off the ground in the middle.

  • incredible!!! i'm learning to do slackline, i just do 2 step...

  • Amazing!Nice Job man!

  • Really enjoyed this. Thanks for sharing it!

    Cheers

    Luc
