the copenhagen accord is a conscious agreement by the whole world to move towards efficiency. they are to collaborate on innovation in defense of the belief that we can work together to solve common problems. this is the product of years of u.n. peace talks and resolutions, and it is a firm step for the balanced global economy. society benefits from learning over time how to use each other to get what they need. this is at least a reasonable statement of initiative to overcome initial inertia.

soldieroffortune1974, the proof you are looking for is in peer-reviewed science journals; don't expect to find it on the news. Each of these journal articles is so dense that it would likely take a layman a few months to get through and understand one of these papers.

By the way, there ARE natural cycles of heating and cooling. These are called Milankovich cycles and they last 26,000 years.... you can't detect those changes over decades, and you can't even detect them over centuries.

Natural cycles of change = astronomical (orbit eccentricity, obliquity of equator to orbital plane, precession of spin axis), solar energy output (incl. common 10 year solar cycle), albedo (reflectivity of Earth to solar input), atmospheric composition, and changes to the thermohaline ocean flow of heat from equator to poles.

Temperature change deviations from these "natural" cycles are measured using ground, ocean, atmospheric, and satellite instruments.
