because Murkowski is elected as a write-in, she no longer holds the GOP burden. She's more intellectually independent from the republicans. she is now among the moderate and independent politicians such as B. Snowe, L, Graham, and J. Lieberman in the senate. I hope that more of these types of politicians are elected in the future.

Most of the people who called "RINO" (Angle, O'Donnell, Miller, Rossi, Paladino, etc.) won the primaries, but got wiped out in the general. She defeated Miller despite the fact that he got so much support from Palin. I have to say, she made a very good call and most importantly, the Alaskans made a very good call.
