To get the dark core out of the beast do this: wait... It randomly comes out and you cant influence when so just keep on running from dirt mound to dirt mound until one appears. It will tell you when with green text in your chatbox.

Quest is simps, I'm 93 with 82 HP; 2ND wave is easy as hell, just run around the out-skirts of the map and stop in between, wait till the screen shakes, then run agen, repeat untill he releases his black sperm-cell thingy mabob, dark core.. GOODLUCK :)) P.S I also found this Quest easier with my sound on, just like JAD.

Part 3: Just a tip this time. I would highly recommend that you do the As a first resort... quest if you haven't already. You can use the salt water spring there to have unlimited run energy for 10 or so minutes which is incredibly helpful for this quest, since you are running to evade the beast's attacks the whole time. You should take a dip in the spring before each room.

Part 2: ...When a core comes out you have to be close to lure it to you. The beast doesn't attack while there's a core out. Just dig a hole and have it between you and the core. The beast can eat a core back up and will start attacking again. Just keep running around the edge while the beast is attacking.

There isn't really a tactic to the third room. Just keep running around the outside and bless the correct grave if you are close enough.

Part 1: Only died once during the quest, at the blessing graves part. Do what he did in this video with the log cutting. Just keep running around and place the logs in the pits between attacks. I built up all of the pits and then lit them all at the same time (you can run to the log pits during the cutscenes by clicking on the minimap).

For the second room you just have to keep running in a circle around the edge of the room. When a core comes out it shows a message in the chatbox... (cont'd)

I'm doing this quest right now, and its bugged or glitched.. I've alright lit like 6 fires..every time i light a fire the guy doesn't come and attack the beast.. the beast just eats the fire or something. Also i get like 2-3 beasts after lighting a fire.so yeah, if anyone knows how to fix this let me know please.

This quest is hella easy...

I died twice on a 106 acc...

Tactics: Never run through the beast, never think 'i can take a hit'.

Once the beast releases the dark core, he will not attack until he eats the dark core...so stay stationary then. Also guys, if you can't afford/don't want a dragon axe, borrow one for the 1st room...it will make it so much easier.

@Xphill180X just run away from pit, and when you're far enough use the logs on pit, your character will come running towards pit, throw logs in, and you'll be able to run further. then do the same thing in the other direction :p and you keep cursed willows when you die (they will be at your grave)

@avetar602 sure, on teh last part the beast will charge a ball of energy either red, blue or yellow. On the ground there will be four graves which you have to bless, but to bless them correctly and hurt the beast you must pay attention to what colour the grave has at the moment and bless the one with the same colour as the beast's attack. I hope I clarified that for you.

i think, at least for the first two rooms, you can run around while the cut-scenes are happening. That saved me a few times when I was stuck right next to him.... I haven't gotten to the third room yet lol.  Also, what level were you?
