For anyone playing guitar by ear (I will not even pretend to know the scale names) you can solo over this song entirely by following a basic minor pentatonic scale in....A I believe... Just FYI. Enjoy, this song is so much fun to play some solo's over because it's so upbeat and insanely happy... whether or not your solo is well constructed it will sound good - take it from someone who has just started learning lead by ear....a little tricky, but AMAZING to lead over any track you want!!

@takinnn Simple reason - It doesn't rhyme with it don't matter to you. Also, I believe he may have been trying to infromalize the lyrics of the song to match the overall subject matter of the tune.... But, "If it don't matter to you, it don't matter to me" :)

Amazing song in general. Continue to produce stuff that is similar to jack johnson so that the stone(r)henge group can enjoy our days off, relaxing with a beer and a bong (+Jack, Ben Harper or Donavon) on the patio at home!!!
