lol, mine is a suzuki 4wd, 1.6 seems to be enough off road, but not exactly great on-road, ive been looking at the engine bay, and im almost certain, with work, i could get an SR20DET in there. it would be silly-bitches fast, but fun :p
i have a ford fiesta 1.1, its stock apart from the airfilter, mine was rattling like mad, i adjusted the tappets and now its better, youl never get them quite but its a lot better, i dont think its worth adding a backbox to it,, is it?
