@OptimusPrimeSG Uh, NP! I am not a fan myself. I just ordered 2 of the Fix Figuration figures (not the FFGN or FFGMC die cast), only because Gundam is famous...and I like its design but not the franchise itself :-)
wasnt interested in metal build line until i saw freedom gundam coming out next year XD so i have to ask..what is metal build like? different from robot damashii or etc??? i would love it if i know more details about metal build.
@darkroxas25 Metal Build is awesome! Heavy weight, tight joints, great posability. In my opinion, it's a great line. Robot Damashii is nice too. But I find it a little small for my liking. I prefer something bigger like Metal Build, which is 1/100 scale.
another awesome review! I blame you for my addiction haha. Hey so what anime series epidoes is this charcter from exactly? Im one of those guys that needs to see the film to really enjoy the toy :D
@rival702 I should get Bandai to employ me as their Marketing Director, since I can make reviews that entice people to buy their toys. =) This Gundam is from the series Gundam 00 Season 2. You will see this Gundam but not the giant sword though. The giant sword is more like an inspired design made into a toy.
Nice looking toy. I hope something like the MK-II or Zeta gets this treatment. How I wish bandai would update their 1987 1/100 DX line. I want to play with gundams that I know.
@wewyllenium I hope they have some new Gundams in this series, and not another RX-78. I mean it is an iconic robot but it will be nice to have other Gundams made first. =)
@OptimusPrimeSG I agree...getting kinda bored with all these different RX-78 releaeses...Japan even have a 1:1 RX-78 built figure in real life in the city....and it does light up too and hands are movable too XD
@OptimusPrimeSG I notice you don't have any SDX gundam reviews...I guess you don't like the SDX gundam series? I collected them all, including the latest Ryuusou Ryuubi Gundam.....they're okay...cute to display but it's a bit costly..
I really like how the packaging materials of the figure is reminiscent of what is used in other chogokin figures(styrofoam).
This is one expensive figure but the combination of chogokin design and articulation ability makes it worth it.
Anyone who has purchased the Metal Build 00GSS should also purchase the Tamashii exclusive O-Raiser and GN Sword III set. If one is willing to invest over $100 USD in the figure, I think they should go all the way and make it complete with the Raiser.
@Guiltaur Yup, I agree that anyone who bought this should get the O-Raiser set as well. In fact, I hope to get another piece of the metal build OO Gundam Seven Sword so that I can display it in 2 modes. =)
@Guiltaur Yep, I would buy if they have the same type of build as this one in the metal composite series with the 00 Raiser Too bad they have to have the 00 Raiser future release in Tamashii (Damashii?) I will not even look at a Tamashii figure. I did buy the Sinanju one but that is the first and last Tamashii I will ever buy. Details and made are really not to par. So I'm not hyped up about the 00 Raiser Tamashii release no matter how limited they are.
@1carrotcake - Yes, one criticism I have of the Robot Damashii figures is the lower level of sculpted detail they possess, especially compared to similarly sized Gundam products such as 1/144 scale HG models. However, the RD line is somewhat less costly than other Gundam action figure lines like MSIA, HCM Pro, and GFF.
Now I may be mistaking your comment but you may be mixing up the Tamashii Web Exclusive O-Raiser with Robot Damashii figures. The O-Raiser for the Metal Build 00 Gundam is...
...not a Robot Damashii product. It's a Metal Build product, meaning it will have the same level of sculpted detail that the Metal Build 00 Gundam Seven Swords figure has, which is superior to Robot Damashii products.
@Guiltaur "you may be mixing up the Tamashii Web Exclusive O-Raiser with Robot Damashii figures" - You got me ^^ -- so what exactly is the "Tamashii Web Exclusive O-Raiser"?? The O-Raiser for the Metal Build 00 Gundam is...?? ?
@1carrotcake - Tamashii Web Exclusive items are simply products that can only be purchased through the Tamashii web store. They're not mass produced items. I believe they're made to order so for example, if 300 people order an exclusive item from the Tamashii web store, only 300 of that item will be made by Bandai.
The Tamashii Web Exclusive O-Raiser mentioned by Charles in the video is a Metal Build product so it should be 1/100 scale and contain metal parts like the MB 00 Gundam.
@Guiltaur Thanks -- Damn it !! I have to find a way to order this Tamashii Web Exclusive 00 Raiser!!! oh I just bought my 2nd Metal built Seven Sword 00 Gundam :)
@1carrotcake - There are a variety of "middlemen" proxy people/companies that will purchase Japanese hobby products on a customer's behalf. This service is especially useful to people outside of Japan who want to buy items that are normally only available to Japanese residents such as Tamashii Web Exclusive items.
I purchase my exclusive items through Yokatta Shopping Service but as I said earlier, there are other companies/stores out there that you can find via web search.
@Guiltaur man I wish you would've told me earlier :P anyway I ordered 2 already..... But Thanks for the info. maybe can get a chance to use that Yokatta shopping service in the future. Guys, Yokatta is still accepting pre-orders for this metal build O-Raiser, get yours while it last :)
I checked out Yokatta, pretty simple to use. Not bad at all
Nice and yes this kit is already sold out in Hong Kong and whoever still have them in stock, they're charging sky high price for it..... as for myself, I'm waiting for the next SOC GX-59 Daltanious and GX-60 God Sigma which I already put down the deposit for both.
@chunlau Looks like this piece is really selling very well. I am glad I managed to get one at a reasonable price. =) I am looking forward to GX-59 and GX-60 too!
Wow, that is an awesome piece. I enjoyed the show and I enjoy my Robot Damashii Seven Sword Gundam 00 as well, so I may consider getting this version, too.
Hi Charles, never see this piece coming...yeah as you mention, most of the online toy site like amiami and HLJ already sold out.. no choice have to wait form them to restock.. Charles do you know which store in CSC is bringing the O-raiser?
@jameschew001 I think Uncle is bringing in but the price is a little high. I will be getting my Japanese contact to help me bring 1 in too. If you wish to join in, let me know and we can discuss further. =)
Is this gundam going to get cheaper? I really want it but I don't like the price. 360 dollars
jajajaja669 6 days ago
@jajajaja669 It's unlikely to get cheaper unless they reissue this piece.
OptimusPrimeSG 20 hours ago
@OptimusPrimeSG that was five days ago. I ordered it 3 days ago XD
