  • The problem with the pet trade is that birds have numerous names. The ornithological name for this species is Black-hooded Parakeet, Nandayus nenday. They're native to central South America but fairly common along the central Gulf coast of Florida, and less common along the southern Atlantic coast.

  • Not blackcapped or greenchecked these are nanday conures!

  • KEEP ONE AS A PET :D

  • These parrots run like crazy near my apartment, they are fun to watch

  • It looks to me like they are black capped conures and they are adorable regardless! I have a Sunday Conure, and a B&G Macaw. I love the time and attention that I get from both.

  • Thanks MarieDawnn...I love watching them so much..My Hubby had pnewmonia {sp?}..But he is all better now. lol..didnt notice the coughing when I played it...to funny!
