half good terrans will scan with there second set of orbital energy revealing more then 2 rax = put a bunker up on ur ramp asap. so the whole thing is countered 85% of the time.

@patrickh92able 'snipers'? wtf are you on about, do you mean ghosts? i just meant if your production is at the front of your base your opponent can snipe it (meaning destroy it out without taking many casualties) a lot easier. once they set up siege tanks outside its almost impossible to stop them destroying the supply and rax especially because to engage you have to run down a choke.

I think this a a great build against TvT. If you tech or expand though you need bunkers!!! You do have to cut SCVs for this push a bit but the initial timing push is excellent. I think our opponent here should have had probably a helion and a marine by the begining of the push. Also the two refinery assumption should be used to your advantage when someone scouts you and you should reconsider your strategy.

Lack of scouting on the opponent cost him the game. Don't be gready scout with that SCV!

i play protoss and i just got owned by this strategy. I watched the replay and at 6:22 my opponent already arrived at my base with 20 marines. By then i only had 1 zealot, 2 stalkers, 1 sentry. I have no idea how to beat this freaking cheese. Someone help?

@shuangxing66 I'm not very good at this but i think you by then you'd have had a force, so build a few preferably 3 photon cannons and fore field your ram with sentry gun. It takes some practice to get to force field right. Once you got it the photon cannon on the high ground should hold 'em off. Its about scoutin to know whether they get mass marines or not. If they did i think you can get colossus later on after the canon hold em off. Check out huskystarcraft channel you'd find protos tutorial

@EternalJudgment usually an out of the ordinary early push. Mostly they are all in strategies and work against people unprepared for them. Idk why the term is cheese though lol. Examples are protoss cannon rushes, super early reaper rushes, 6 pool, Planetary Fortress Rush, etc.

He didn't lock himself into the strategy at the beginning of the match as many actual cheese builds... in fact he says outright in the video that you can't just hope that it works, you have to gauge your build against what you predict your opponent will do.

It looks quite good but what if he decides to go a 4 marine hellion push. You will have your first 4 marines at his base when he have about 2-3 (I guess) and he's about to pop out his hellion.

Is the marines really enough?

Also, wouldnt it be an improvement to go a quick techlab and go Shield-upgrades (then also, if he scout your rack he think you go M&M or quick swap Mech build) and push out with that extra HP?
