Very good special effects here. An improbable situation, but not impossible. The arsonist even used a fictional accelerant called "trychtichlorate". Fire doesn't naturally behave the way you see it in this trailer.

I heard this closed down because they got many complaints that the heat was too intense. Sometimes when there's fire (Jaws, Nightime Stuntacular) I have to turn away because of the heat the fire gives off. On this your kind of trapped.

On this your in an enclosed set. The heat has no where to go except towards you. It got too entense for most people.

I think it's still there. But I do know that they're gonna take it out by the end of october to make way for a Transformers ride that is set to open in 2011. So I think you still have a week or two left to go on it.

Theirs going to be a new ride, since the kingkong got burned on the tram tour but they rebuilt it this summer. The new ride is King Kong: 8th Wonder Of The World I heard its a rollercoaster but it's in 2011.

Here's what you do. Go on the Jurassic Park water ride and get really soaked, then go on the Backdraft attraction to dry off. Trust me it gets so hot in there you'll dry instantly no matter how soaked you are.

i'm a firefighter and when i went i thought it would be dumb. but it is pretty much as close as you can get with out it being for real. just imaging alot more smoke and the heat 100x hotter but if you ever get the chance to go to universal dont miss backdraft it's awsome

It's definately better to see this live. When you see it live, if you look out above the little control roon you can see some smoke creeping, and that is the closest thing to a backdraft on the ride. The rest of the fire is just flammable liquid burning. Still it's a sick ride and I recommend it to everyone.
