@davidds0 Hmm, provides a bit of both. ROF has advanced physics, creating a, "feel," for being in the air. You can use historical tactics, work in flights or roam about a server for hours as a lone wolf. I literally read primary documents, from WW 1, to prepare for tactics and optimun setting for climb and such. You can also play airquake style, in low fuel, close aerodrome servers; where you are sure to run into fun and trouble.
@davidds0 We have countless debates about flight model issues, over at the ROF forum. The ROF team tries to use the most accurate, available aeronautical engineering information to create the flight models for the planes. This is an evolving process, for some of the machines. So, ROF creates the most realistic, "feel," for flight pc experience, (according to some RL pilots) with some room for improvement. The team will be altering the fm's of some planes; due to obtaining superior info. S! MJ
@Skatenesh Well it's said that he commented on the how the DV wasn't an improvement upon the DIII so I would assume he would have flown one at some stage.
@Fritters87 That's a fact--the old DIII was better than the DV and DVa--the increased weight of the newer version with no added horsepower resulted in a heavier, less maneuverable plane, and it had even more of a tendency to shed its wings in a dive. When the Fokker DVIIs came out, they tended to go to the veteran pilots, while the novices were given the Albatros DVa. I think the only time Richtofen flew the new Albatros was during the time the Dr Is were grounded for structural failures.
Kinda off-topic, but the Red Baron actually flew in an Albatross variant, I don't remember which one though. I do know once it almost killed him because the wing almost fell apart from a design flaw.
@Tabby266 I know he flew the DIII and the DVa, don't know about the DII though, and I'm not sure which one nearly killed him, both the DIII and the DVa had really weak lower wings.
@Fritters87 Actually, the DII was what the Baron got most of his kills in as a fighter pilot. And it was the DIII that almost killed him actually, which was surprising because most reports said the DII was more lethal with it's weak bottom wing.
This Albatros D.V was flown by Lt. Joachim von Hippel, squadron leader of the Jasta 5. He becomes not famous because his sucesses in dogfights but because his colourful aircraft (the D.V's "black fash" and the "red dragon" and the Fokker D.VII "Lude").
ye its out in Russia and the us not in europe yet im gonna die if i dont get it soon =P ur gonna be able to download buy it in Aug dont know what date look on there web =P
oh nice- my system specs are close to urs- i have amd 2.4ghz dual core 2 gig ram and 8800GT and game runs pretty smooth at 35fps- but with graphic drawbacks...scenery i set to med- textures med- everything else either low or off..still pretty surprised how well my pc runs it ( im at minimum system requirements)
A beautiful sim now that it's developed a bit more. Beautiful machine, the D.Va. So elegant yet lethal on the right hands. Great video. S!

@mjmorrow76 amm ok but what about the aerodynamic of the plane it self, is it realistic? is it simulator like? or ace combat more like?

@Skatenesh That must have been it then cause the DVa was the one they tweaked after everyone said the DV was shit. -To put it bluntly.

@mjmorrow76 get rid of vista and 64 bits. you have just 3324 mb ram so you should get windows 7 32 bit. that will improve ur computer by 30 %
