I was certified in the mid '70's by James Walters who owned Water World in Kenosha. I made two dives to this wreck. The dive boat operator (name?) located it using a fish finder, compass heading and a general knowledge of its location. He would then dive and attach a bow line. The visibility on this wreck was near zero. Because of this, I never penetrated the wreck. I am amazed at the water clarity in this video. First time I've actually seen the inside. Great Video!
I wonder what the fish think of us floating around in the deep with all that strange equipment! Thanks for posting video. Probably the closest that I'll get to a shipwreck dive~

@OtisMKE It still is deep and somewhat dark, but no longer spooky. :) Even though it is starting to collapse on itself. We are noticing areas that are getting tighter to move through.
@MatlockJack Advanced Open Water is generally recommended. Due to the depth and cold, I wouldn't penetrate it on a single tank. If you just wanted to look around the deck real quick, then you should have about a year or more of experience. To penetrate it, you should have significantly more experience (if not technical training).

You should have at least an Advanced Open Water Cert.
The key is going with a knowledgeable instructor or diver for your first time !
You can stay at around 90 ft and look down on it all. That will drastically add to your bottom time.
I would not penetrate the wreck unless you’re certified for that.
You can see everything from the outside looking in.
When I dove on this wreck years ago, it was deep, dark & spooky.
The vis was 10 ft max. Pretty silted up.

Judging from the automobile in the hold, I'd date this wreck around mid-late 1920's . . .

Outstanding! The last time I dove her was back in 1998. This looks like a wreck I have to dive again.

Yeah. You could look up and see the bottom of the boat from the wreck. Horizontal viz was around 90 feet. Amazing, but cold!!!
