I agree that people aren't realising viuses but A. H5N1 was genetically altered humanly. B. if governments and mass media don't release the viruses they certainly but the fear of god into the threat! And C their vaccinations are crap!
i agree 100% on your points about everyone having healthcare, the importance of being prepared and the value of hygene. we should apply those 3 things always.
but i still think the flu thing is mostly media hype. i dont think it's really a conspiracy, just a lot of opportunists hoping to capitalize on ratings. in usa those vaccine-making companies make TONS of cash from a scared, uneducated population that blindly follows leaders.
It was a media hype. So was SARS. So was the Bird Flu. Sure, a lot of healthy people could get sick but the casualty rate (for those who actually had the virus) was much too low to be of any more relevance than a regular flu. It saddens me that someone like you is so unsceptical about this kind of propaganda.
its so funny that the goverment is fucking with us this way. Same thing in Norway, me and 2 others people were the ONLY ones in our ENTIRE class who didnt take the Swine flue shot. I mean if you are so afraid that Swine Flue is going to kill you, you should know that the chance of dying while biking to school is higher, LOL.
and then theres the chuck demic where chuck norris feals hate towards a group of people and then they contract aids, cancer and swine flu and then later die along with anyone they talk to. so far the only recorded death of this is god, justin beibers balls and the dinosaurs
No, you can't. It's as if you took the vaccine now. Your body now knows which anti-bodies can defeat swine flu; all a vaccine does is "trick" the body into achieving this same effect with a dead virus.
I Fucking HATE Alex Jones!!! But, dude, thank you SOOOO much for that information! Now I can prove just how crazy those dumbass 9/11 "Truthers" are with only OBE sentence! Lol
According to the New England Journal of Medicine, 70,000,000 Swine Flu vaccines were wasted because of antivaccinationist propaganda instilling fear into people. I have to wonder what is the ratio of people who actually took the vaccine to the people who didn't, and how many people from each of these groups contracted and/or died from H1N1, because frankly, Swine Flu was hardly worthy of the label, "PANDEMIC."
i regrettably didn't get the shot, and ended up getting the swine flu. it was not fun at all! my question is, did me allowing my system to fight it off without getting the shot strengthen my immune system? or maybe do some sort of immunity downgrade? i don't know much about the immune system, but i heard a few years ago, that allowing your system to have contact with some illnesses will strengthen your immune system. can i get the swine flu again? or am i clear, like the with the chicken pox?
@iheartdonut In my puny knowledge it strengthens your immune system. As the vaccines are also controlled mixes of the disease itself. Thats why it is common to get fever and stuff after the vaccination. The body creates the necessary immunity for the decease.
People who don't get inoculated, or don't have their children inoculated against disease, are the reason will still have many of these diseases (herd immunity requires at least 90% population immune). Remember smallpox...probably not, because it was wiped out due to world-wide inoculation programs. Take a look at a black and white photo of someone with smallpox...then say you still don't believe in inoculation.
My partner works in health, and was heavily involved during the 'swine flu' scare...trust me...if nothing had been done, it would have been bad...like many millions dead bad.

Alex Jones was not saying don't use hygiene to prevent virus spread. He was saying don't get the swine flu shot... watch his videos. Its a fact that the live virus swine flu shot gave many the flu and increased the spread of the virus. My friend got the shot and became so sick he almost died. He had to stay overnight at the hospital with a fever of 105 and was sick for a couple weeks. They actually stopped using the vaccine in some countries because it was killing a high number of children.
So, with the swine flu pandemic officially over and all of the estimates of infections/deaths being way off and Ron Paul being spot on in his prediction, can we expect a "I was wrong, Ron Paul was right" video from Thunder00t in the name of scientific integrity and truth?
@schulwitz no, and for a very good reason: the point thunderf00t makes is still valid, it's about risk vs hazard - if you played russion roulette, and didn't shoot yourself, that is no reason to say it's safe to play russian roulette!
@schulwitz no, and for a very good reason: the point thunderf00t makes is still valid, it's about risk vs hazard - if you played russion roulette once, and didn't shoot yourself, that is no reason to say it's safe to play russian roulette!
@schulwitz no, and for a very good reason: the point thunderf00t makes is still valid, it's about risk vs hazard - if you played russion roulette, and didn't shoot yourself, that is no reason to say it's safe to play russian roulette!
@schulwitz Did you not understand what happened? The only reason that the deaths were prevented was because of the action that was taken. We managed to stop the spread through much effort and major steps taken towards prevention.
Ron Paul wasn't right, Ron Paul didn't understand what the pandemic was. If we had gone for inaction as Ron Paul suggested, many more of us would have been infected.
Most people didn't get the vaccine, and in the areas where almost no one got the vaccine, it was not a problem.
It's the same excuse used by George Bush today, if we hadn't acted with the wars, we would be less safer today from terrorists. No one can prove him (or you) wrong, but you are both dealing in hypothetical scenarios that are simply not warranted by the evidence.
@schulwitz Swine flu posed a high risk. Imagine it like a risk chart where you have two variables, impact and probability. The impact of swine flu could have been catastrophic, on the order of billions infected. This wouldn't matter if the probability was low, but it wasn't. The probability was high enough to take preventative measures to reduce it. Just because swine flu didn't kill millions, doesn't mean we shouldn't have taken preventative measures, because the risk was higher if we didn't.
I'm not arguing about preventative measures, NO ONE is arguing against that. But, if you watch the Ron Paul video that this video is a response to, Paul is simply saying that a panic is not appropriate for the nature of the strain of this swine flu.
.
This turned out to be the appropriate response. Yes, the swine flu could mutate and kill millions, so could bird flu. But a panicked response that entails a massive slaughter of birds would be a stupid preventive measure.
@schulwitz We needed to limit the potential for another pandemic on the scale of 1918 H1N1 outbreak. There was only a small chance of it happening, but we needed to reduce the chance further because the effects would have been catastrophic if it that small chance came through.
Behind the hype that Ron Paul condemned there was still a significant concern to to try and prevent the pandemic potential.
And nobody ever suggested action as extreme as you say, the action taken was appropriate.
@genericmember1 Thats bull shit... The flu wasn't 1/2 as bad as they hyped it up to be. 3 members of my family got it and it was similar to any seasonal flu. Because of this one of my friends ended up getting the vaccine. It was a live virus vaccine that is supposed to give you immunity to H1N1. Well it gave him the worst flu he ever had. Temp of 105 he was hospitalized. The media hype was just to sell vaccines. They made a quick hundred billion in a couple months.
@buckinfitches I'm not saying it was worse than seasonal flu, in fact the fatality rate was three times less. That doesn't matter with a pandemic as it infects many times more. If it infected 33% of the world like the 1918 H1N1 pandemic, then we would be looking at a fatality rate of nearly 70 million people. Even though it isn't as bad, the sheer amount it infects is the problem as it's many hundreds of times more than seasonal flu.
You know, none of us like to contend with hindsight. H1N1 was not a doomsday virus; far fewer people died from H1N1 in 2009 than normally die every year from the seasonal flu. H1N1 was blown way out of proportion, and videos like this one poured fear into the public debate. I'm not saying that Thunderf00t might not someday be proven right, but scaring the fudge out of people didn't help at all.
@howtogetwell I'd rather he didn't remove the video because of its relevance to all pandemic capable illness, or in other words, keep it for future reference.
Regarding what you say of 'faulty thinking...', regardless of whatever happened with swine flu, the video discusses only its potential and the different numbers that would come about in different situations. It's not an instance of faulty thinking and short-sightedness, it prepared for the worse and gave advise, certainly no bad thing.
And second more importantly you're preventing other people from being infected. so yeah by not taking it you're basically a selfish dick of the highest order.
It is now June of 2010. And there never was a huge threat of the swine flu. Yes they decaliered a pandemic. But it was quite a while ago. Like the middle of last year. But now you don't even hear any more. I am just glad it didn't kill too may people. It did kill some people sadly. But the normal flu killed more people then the swine flu. But he right! We should be very careful. And be prepared just in case something does happen. Lets just pray nothing does happen though.
Anyone with a brain is not against good hygiene ... it is forced vaccination, untested vaccines, all the fear mongering, Hundreds of Bilions $ wasted, etc that most people with common sense are concerned about.
And to say that nobody would intentionally release something like H1N1 out into the world is pretty naive. I suppose you also still believe 9/11 was planned and executed by a handful of box-cutter weilding Muslim misfits who couldn't fly a bush plane? :)
Yes, but if you kill that massive outbreak how will you know that it was you who did that? (And not few but millions of inoculations is required.)
Maybe that disease was just a hype created by greedy pharmacy companies, willing to sell you some bottled water as vaccine? You cant prove anything if you dont have actual example what happens without vaccine.
By the way If everyone around you is inoculated, you dont need to, because there is no one around to infect you anyway.
I claim, that next year super-duper mega extreme virus will strike and kill you all.
But If you buy my advanced antivirus vaccine you will not even notice that virus.
Will you BUY my vaccine immediately ? Or you want some proof fiirst?
BTW video is wrong. Only difference between common and swine flu is that swine flu have slightly bigger death rates, spread rate is same as usual influenza or even lower.
Where I live, almost no one was vaccinated, few died, mostly because of medical negligence. Most of people not even knew if they have swine or seasonal flu and nothing happened. Not sure which one I got either.
Government still boght some vaccine but almost no one used it and all went to drain.
So, be sure you were cheated, because without any vaccine we did same as you with vaccine.
Now you have clinical test that your vaccine was worthless. Ask for refund.
I perfect understand everything and seem you are just an idiot who uses insults instead of normal arguments.
I already told that there is no proof that swine flu is somehow significantly more deadly that common flu and furthermore countries that were not vaccinated at all did no worse that US. and you cant deny that that, unless you show me some country who suffered badly without vaccine.
So, I have enough proof that you just spent your money with no result.
@deltaxcd I don't know why you even waste your time with this foul-mouthed troll called DarkKnight. He's not capable of anything but spewing his arrogance and constant insults with his garbage mouth. Best to just ignore punks like him ... that will get under his skin more than anything.
@deltaxcd your entire statement shows you know nothing about how virus's work nor how vaccines work. you haven't even watched the video have you? Pay attention.
gee I wonder why ma by because we have been obsessed about containg it imagine the damage it will cause if it actually gets out your not sending out a a good message here lets all just let our guard down and let this horrible virus kill us all
If the virus doesn't kill many people then what is the problem of a pandemic? You are ill a few days and then back to work. Is there a high probability of the virus mutating? And we stopped hearing of the virus. Was it erradicated successfully?
I'm a fan of your videos in general, but it almost seems like you should post a retraction on these H1N1 warnings. If that was a pandemic, then it was must have been the mildest one in history. And it's not because the vaccine saved us. Here in Canada, there was a major shortage and the vast majority of people never got it. H1N1 mortality was LOWER than seasonal flu, which itself doesn't usually warrant a major media campaign.
With hindsight do you still feel that this was not over hyped? If there was no media hype we would not have heard of swine flu - very few people have had any serious problems as a result of it.
i liked it all apart from the bit where you discredited the illuminati theory.
I don't buy into shit, hence why i turned away from Christianity. But i've seen a lot of evidence that supports their existence, i remain agnostic on the illuminati.
By now it seems like the Swine flu was just a false alarm (unless there's a really radical change for the worse soon). The question is, was it really bad that we "overreacted"? Personally I think it was good that we "overreacted". If it had been more serious we would have been at least relatively prepared for it. The only real downside I see with it is that people might stop listen to the varnings if the goverment cries "wolf" too many times when there aren't any "wolves" around.
I watched and do understand the video, and Thunderf00t is just flat-out wrong here.
Research shows that Swine Flue can be treated just like Regular Flu, it has no more PANDEMIC potential than the Regular Flu, more people are dying of the VACCINES than the flu itself, and it's getting hyped up in the media as this big pandemic. Seriously... are you people that retarded?
Ah, I see. Dont have any research huh? Soooo that back there about what "research shows" was basically you blowing smoke out your ass?
When you come on here and say "I KNOW RESEARCH THAT PROVES YOU'RE WRONG!", and someone asks you for that research, and your response is "go find it yourself!" - you're the one who ends up looking like an idiot.
I told you to get it yourself because this is the problem with society. People would rather get on Youtube, FOx News, MSNBC, etc, for facts rather than cracking open a newspaper or getting on the internet and browsing for a few minutes.
maybe you should watch the video again. What TF is talking about is the fact that humans seem to have next to no immunity to H1N1, if your exposed you will most likely get it & there is a chance you could die, but not for sure. If it is not controlled it will spread quickly and everyone will get it, if the death rate is even 1 in 100 its still going to be in the millions. So yes this might not be a nightmare bug with 100% death rate, but it still could cause a pandemic, just like the video says.
"if your exposed you will most likely get it & there is a chance you could die, but not for sure."
Chance to die... yes. But it's VERY small chance that you might die. I know five people who had it and some of them said it was much milder than "seasonal flu".
Only people who died in here Finland from it were one cancer patient and few people who had some sort of long term disease.... i hope yopu are rpoud of your fear mongering.
Its not fear mongering in mexico and america the people it was killing the most were people in there 20's and 30's. Thank goodness it seems to have been contained and it has not become a pandemic. but if we just ignored it and hoped it would go away then we might have had one. its not fearmongering to say its a real possible danger and people should protect themselves by getting a shot. Im not telling them to build shelter in there basement and be ready to hind there when the pandemic comes.
Well that just is not accurate, there are people who have died in Canada from Swine flu, because people in the States decided that Swine flu just wasn't a big deal. People in my University wear dropping like flies, so many people ended up bombing their midterms because they were being hospitalized weeks before the tests. It's not fear mongering, it's fact. Just like all those morons that wouldn't finish their bloody antibiotics. Now look at the bacterial strains we have!
I have to disagree that the government is not using this to create fear. I agree that they did not release the virus, but they are not doing anything to dispel the fear the media is creating. In addition, they are pushing the fear by bringing it up all the time.... especially since this is a minor flu as far as severity.
This is a very true problem. I hope I don't get that flu. The question is, is it in a spread right now? Because this is a very dangerous flu. Everyone wash your hands after using the bathroom, or eating and you won't get it. And by the way, you never know if it kills more people than a regular flu, if you never had it don't bother. The flu is not just a flu, ahnilator. You never know what it can do.
Speaking as someone who has had it, and who has had to put up with a 13 year old sister who had it, this is about as dangerous as the Common Cold. The medication they gave us was more dangerous than the virus itself. I stopped taking it, and my sister's mother took her off of it when she looked at the fucking forms that came with the medication and read the side effects.
Me? I just pop a couple of Tylenol and call it a day. LOL!!!
you guys are a bunch of idiots.Yeah, keep resting your neck about this PIG FLU!This SWINE flu has already infected over 22 million people. The first 2 weeks of the swine flu being here, the MORONS running our Country say the seasonal flu kills 40,000 annually,& the PIG flu only1or2?My GOD!They can say that only after 2 weeks of the PIG flu being here?WTF!Well of course it hasen't killed as many as the seasonal flu! How could it?At the time,it was only 2 weeks into the pig flu being around. IDIOTS!!
I agree on the importance of preparing for a potential pandemic virus. However, my distaste with the media coverage of swine flu has to do with the fact that some have treated it as though it already is a pandemic (rather than a potential one), and produce stories that don't give valuable information as this video does. Maybe I'm biased, but I feel like media is more focused on their own self interests in this case. The content is valid, but the presentation is misleading, contrary to your video
The media tends to exagerate things in order to gain ratings. It's essentially crying wolf constantly. This being said, when we face a truly dangerous pandemic situation, no one will believe it.
@ ahnilator: i see that you heard absolutely nothing. *facepalm*
@ tfoot: i think you have to understand the the swine flu hype was so out-fking-rageous [@ least here in the states] That is hard not to believe that this was fear based sensationlism. [esp when u look @ the #] BUT thank you for putting some education out there. And i will take it more srsly :3 However everyone should be practicing good hygene, flu or none
@WiqidBritt I agree! We all should practice simple hygiene rutines every single day. But you know and I hate to say it. But I think we are all guilty of not washing our hands when ever. We cough or sneeze or after we go to the bathroom. No matter if we think about it or not. That is why they tell every one to stay away from public bathrooms and such as much as possible when there is something spreading. You know! Lets pray nothing more threating comes.
wow i dont get why peapol are over hyped about shit flu theres been less then 5000 recorded deaths sense march the normal flu kills 250,000-500,000 peapol a year wtf!its a flu peapol its just 1 that doesent have a real vacine and kills less then the fucking normal flu
Its because the vast number of people are ignorant and gullible. They are the same people that dont Vaccinate their children because they think they are dangerous to their health. Then the Child ends up with Polio or some other disease that could of been easily avoided.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
the first arguement is it only infected 10 now but hey the spanish flou orginally only infected 10 but it mutated. So I'm supposed to a)believe this vaccine will protect me if the swine flu mutates b) it has to mutate into a killer pandemic becasue a flu disease almost 90 years ago did
I like how the media wouldn't cover anything else when one infant in texas got the swine flu, like it was a big deal, and when it was declared an epidemic, they didn't cover the story at all. The media covers things to get you scared enough to start and keep watching when there's no threat in it at all, then when there is a real threat, they stop covering it so you won't get so scared you stop watching.
Everyday some journalist claim something bigger than reallity "virus has mutated", "virus is in a second stage" and Everyday is the "scientists" that have to debunk false claims.
You perhaps can explain one thing weird to me: (from the news)
"people over 65 won't need the vaccin cause they already have antibodies from a previous flu"
The few here is a relative term. In national terms, twenty thosand or so elders would be a 'few'
The 'might' here comes from the fact that uncertainty about the progress of the pandemic. It is still possible that swine flu will not present as great an issue as we fear. If enviromental conditions make it a low flu winter, it is possible that swine flu will not be a problem. Interestlingly, better and more widely distribute the vaccine, the more it will appear like it wasn't needed.
ok, you confused me using "might", but now i get your point.
My point is the the truth is almost always in the middle, there is no conspiration for killing billions or mind control (of course) but it's true that some media is overpushing it.
If only every year they wouldn't spread panic with "crazy cows, SARS, aviaria (dunno how you translate those)" they would be more believable.
For example today the news was the "s.gennaro miracle" .. that doesn't help at all.
I wish there were people like you teaching science to junior highschool students. I think thats where we lose the most scientists. Not giving a damn about jh science put me into the stupid class. I quickly realized my folly and worked my way back into the comprehensive programs my school offered, but most of my classmates didnt
Honestly, anyone that thinks the Illuminati would stoop to viruses? I think if you're going to go with global conspiracy and such, the situation in Deus Ex is far more reasonable.
The Grey Death was a realistic method of leverage and control.
not to mention the vaccines either don't even work ( like tamiflu ) or they are full of toxins that most other countries ( except for the US ) actually BAN for use on human beings.. like vaccines with thermasol in them ( which is Mercury sulfate )
but i could be wrong.. i guess.. if the people in my neighborhood start dying i will realizes this.. but i am pretty sure that this will not happen
Well, that explains a lot.. your right Tamiflu doesn't work as a vaccine....it demonstrably fails to trigger the immune system into production of antibodies which fight flu.....BECAUSE IT ISNT A VACCINE. It is an anti-viral drug used to treat disease once it is already present.
If you can't tell the difference between and antiviral and a vaccine(something a 13 year old should be able to do) how the hell do you feel qualified to talk on any of this.
Well, i can't provide an example with any great ease, but i will point out that aged 11, all english children should be able to you the basics of how mendellian genetics works, the underlying principles of evolution. By 13 they have already been taught over half of what they will have to learn for GCSE biology, an understanding of immunisation is certainly a requirement for a passing grade.
what also is missed in this debate is that H1N1 just as SARS has been used in the media to generate fear, on purpose... i do not subscribe to the idea that the media are stupid they are complicit.. talking about the spanish flu is just to generate fear things are alot different than in 1905. this whole issue is pretty ridiculous and only makes the pharmaceutical companies and there share holders rich...
No, the media really is just stupid. Like most people, your average Jurno, knows nothing at all about science. Listen to 'Ben Goldacre on The Now Show', you'll find it here on you tube. This elliquant and highly amusing rant says more about the media's lack of understanding than anything i could say.
But in short, the media isn't shilling for the Pharmaceutical companies, they don't have the understanding of science to actually do it successfully.
hmm interesting.. but according to the WHO what an actual pandemic * emergence of a disease new to a population; * agents infect humans, causing serious illness; and * agents spread easily and sustainably among humans.
that is what is a pandemic.. it has nothing to do with the number of people dying.. 50 people can die in a pandemic.. the media dose not mention what pandemics actually mean and freak out when 16 people die..
also the idea that it will mutate is hotly debated
Well considerably more than 50 people have died so far from H1N1 (3205 deaths world wide) yet. It has a higher mortality and morbidity rate than seasonal flu(more people die after contracting it, more people contract it)
The fact that it will mutate, is not up for debate. The reason that new vaccines have to be developed every year for seasonal flu is that after each flu season season, the virus has mutated so much that the previous vaccine no longer offers the same level of protection.
40,000 people die of seasonal flu per year. 3,000 people day of Malaria EVERY SINGLE DAY, and Swine Flu, which PALES in comparison, is being considered as a pandemic? Are you fucking serious?
I love how much he generalizes and makes baseless assumptions. These random assumptions based off hygiene is one of my favorite examples here. Also failing to mention that this isn't the first or last virus that has infected people with a potential to mutate and wipe out most of the human population. Swine Flu, like most other viruses, will come and go. Other viruses failed to mutate and wipe the human species so worrying about this is like worrying about getting struck by lightning.
Well no, other pathogens didn't fail to mutate and cause massive numbers of deaths , they have done it repeatedly throughout human history. HIV, spannish flu, pneumonic and bubonic plagues...
Swine flu remains a risk, especially as we are now starting to move into the time of year when flus of all sorts start to become a genuine threat to health.
Oh and by the way, increased mobility and polulation density are dramatically increasing the risk of pandemic.
I agree with you to a certain extent. You are absolutely right that some viruses did not fail mutation wise and are continuing infecting and killing people. However, I've spoke to a college professor of biology, Dr. Krok, and she has repeatedly told me that while Swine flu does have the capability to mutate and kill many people, there were thousands of viruses previous to swine flu that failed to do the job. All I'm saying is we may die from the mutation from swine flu but the chances are slim.
It doesn't need to mutate, if it's virilance remains unchanged at this point we are still very likely to be in for a very bad flu year. The mortality rate of H1N1, based on current figures appears to be about 1.15%, compared to a mortality rate of between 0.06% and 0.24% in seasonal flu. Add to this a higher morbity rate than seasonal flu.
With all due respect to Dr. Krok, she is one lecturer, i don't even know her specialism(biology is after all a huge subject). The experts on the subject at hand consider this to be a fairly serious health risk, to large sections of all societies. They have evidence to back their position and i personally at this point will be undertaking simple actions which reduce the chances of exposure. And that is all that is all thunderf00t has ever suggested. Be aware of the threat, know how to combat it.
Thank you Thunderf00t for making such an educational and informative video. This is a good video to dispel some of the ignorance peddled by conspiracy theorists out there.
Well, consider the much-less-lethal Asian Flu pandemic of 1957 (which also followed the pattern of a weak initial virus followed by a mutation into a more virulent flu), which still killed amillion people. And in 1968 the Hong Kong flu arose, which killed about 1-3 million, and 30,000 in the UK alone. It followed the same pattern as the Spanish flu.
Health care and sanitation improved a lot between 1918 and 1970, but that didn't stop the less lethal Hong Kong flu from spreading - or killing.
lets also not forget that people probably traveled much less in 1918, making such a large number impressive regardless of the quality of care available at the time.
There are a lot of videos popping up, well fair few every now and then and at the end it's dot g o v.
I doubt they are some insider, government working employee or agent.
They just genuinely believe they are doing the right thing.
But if they researched, they would actually see that there is a bigger picture.
Having pushed the the now proved to do more harm than good Tamiflu on us, they now expect us to believe that the vaccine will be 100% safe, I'll pass thanks.
I bet this guy promotes or is for the vaccines to come, just look at him, he looks just like those government so called guys who believes we are in good hands
yeah 1200 people in like 1 month or something now its like 2400 if i remember right and thats in 2 month there is like more people dying from falling down from sidewalks ;) BUT because of that u shouldnt underestimate the flu
Good job breaking this down thunderf00t. One talking point from the crackpots I get annoyed with is the talk about all the people who got ill in the 1970s vaccination. I can't remember the exact figures, but it was something like less than 1 in a million people got ill, which is pretty good odds for medical science in my opinion, I will take a 1 in a million risk to protect myself. I'm sure the chances of actually getting swine flu and getting ill are lower odds than that.

Alex Jones is the same right-wing asshole who spread the belief in chemtrails for money and helped the pranksters who invented the ant-Semitic 9/11 truth movement - also for money. Shouldn't this guy be arrested for crimes against humanity?
Jones may be a crackpot, but you should get your facts straight before criticizing him. 1) Right-wing is too broad a brush, he's more of an economic conservative, and social libertarian. 2) Jones dismisses most talk of chemtrails, except for a few exceptions where there is evidence of spraying (google Bills seek to curb pesticide spray over cities for the kind of ones he talks about), of course he overblows the whole thing, but he does start from a real story unlike most chemtrail nutbags
cont. 3) His version of 9/11 nonsense is not anti-semitic, he blames the US government, not the Jews. He did talk about things like the "art student spy ring", which while a contentious issue, was a major news story in the mainstream at the time.
Also, your call for him to be arrested sounds a bit fascistic to me, in a culture of freedom of speech, you sometimes have to put up with crackpots and idiots, because freedom of speech is not here to protect your mainline accepted views, they don't need protecting. It's especially for protecting unpopular speech, that which does need defending from people like you who would lock up anyone who disagrees.
Goldenseal & rosemary or if you don't have that, use these natural herbs:
Oregano, lavender & rosemary in teas ( fresh herbs), extra zinc & vitamin C, fresh onion soups in the week, check with the doctor for rosemary herb, as that can be damaging if used too much ( approx 3 cups of rosemary tea a week max). With those you can beat any virus or bacteria. Rosemary is antibiotic, anti-fungal and kills all bacteria. Hope this helps you people! All the Best Now!

@theartdonut
No, you can't. It's as if you took the vaccine now. Your body now knows which anti-bodies can defeat swine flu; all a vaccine does is "trick" the body into achieving this same effect with a dead virus.

TheManiacalSatanist6 1 year ago 2
i regrettably didn't get the shot, and ended up getting the swine flu. it was not fun at all! my question is, did me allowing my system to fight it off without getting the shot strengthen my immune system? or maybe do some sort of immunity downgrade? i don't know much about the immune system, but i heard a few years ago, that allowing your system to have contact with some illnesses will strengthen your immune system. can i get the swine flu again? or am i clear, like the with the chicken pox?
iheartdonut 1 year ago
@iheartdonut In my puny knowledge it strengthens your immune system. As the vaccines are also controlled mixes of the disease itself. Thats why it is common to get fever and stuff after the vaccination. The body creates the necessary immunity for the decease.
SpecklePattern 9 months ago
People who don't get inoculated, or don't have their children inoculated against disease, are the reason will still have many of these diseases (herd immunity requires at least 90% population immune). Remember smallpox...probably not, because it was wiped out due to world-wide inoculation programs. Take a look at a black and white photo of someone with smallpox...then say you still don't believe in inoculation.

They actually stopped using the vaccine in some countries because it was killing a high number of children.

cheeseyb0b 1 year ago
@schulwitz Did you not understand what happened? The only reason that the deaths were prevented was because of the action that was taken. We managed to stop the spread through much effort and major steps taken towards prevention.
Ron Paul wasn't right, Ron Paul didn't understand what the pandemic was. If we had gone for inaction as Ron Paul suggested, many more of us would have been infected.
genericmember1 1 year ago
@genericmember1
Most people didn't get the vaccine, and in the areas where almost no one got the vaccine, it was not a problem.
It's the same excuse used by George Bush today, if we hadn't acted with the wars, we would be less safer today from terrorists. No one can prove him (or you) wrong, but you are both dealing in hypothetical scenarios that are simply not warranted by the evidence.
schulwitz 1 year ago
@schulwitz Swine flu posed a high risk. Imagine it like a risk chart where you have two variables, impact and probability. The impact of swine flu could have been catastrophic, on the order of billions infected. This wouldn't matter if the probability was low, but it wasn't. The probability was high enough to take preventative measures to reduce it. Just because swine flu didn't kill millions, doesn't mean we shouldn't have taken preventative measures, because the risk was higher if we didn't.
genericmember1 1 year ago
@genericmember1
.
But a panicked response that entails a massive slaughter of birds would be a stupid preventive measure.
schulwitz 1 year ago

They made a quick hundred billion in a couple months.
buckinfitches 1 year ago
@buckinfitches I'm not saying it was worse than seasonal flu, in fact the fatality rate was three times less. That doesn't matter with a pandemic as it infects many times more. If it infected 33% of the world like the 1918 H1N1 pandemic, then we would be looking at a fatality rate of nearly 70 million people. Even though it isn't as bad, the sheer amount it infects is the problem as it's many hundreds of times more than seasonal flu.
genericmember1 1 year ago
It also didn't help that anti-biotics weren't known in 1918.
mjh012363 1 year ago
You know, none of us like to contend with hindsight. H1N1 was not a doomsday virus; far fewer people died from H1N1 in 2009 than normally die every year from the seasonal flu. H1N1 was blown way out of proportion, and videos like this one poured fear into the public debate. I'm not saying that Thunderf00t might not someday be proven right, but scaring the fudge out of people didn't help at all.

But now you don't even hear any more. I am just glad it didn't kill too may people. It did kill some people sadly. But the normal flu killed more people then the swine flu. But he right! We should be very careful. And be prepared just in case something does happen. Lets just pray nothing does happen though.

Unfortunately these arguments defeat themselves. If goverment manages to stop virus with few infections, they prove that danger was overestimated.
If we assume that danger was real, then what it I want to sell some salted water as vaccine against deadly super disease?
I sell it, no pandemic occur so I saved millions from death of completely nonexistent or relatively harmless disease and got billions of $.
deltaxcd 1 year ago
@deltaxcd WRONG. a few innoculations is all that's required to kill a massive outbreak regardless of how dangerous it is. big or small.
DarkKnightBob1o1 1 year ago
@DarkKnightBob1o1

Will you BUY my vaccine immediately ? Or you want some proof fiirst?
BTW video is wrong. Only difference between common and swine flu is that swine flu have slightly bigger death rates, spread rate is same as usual influenza or even lower.

DarkKnightBob1o1 1 year ago
@DarkKnightBob1o1
You are idiot yourself.
I am talking about PROOF that swine flu is really dangerous. And if it does not kill at least a few thousands of people it is nothing worth to bother.
So have you any proof? Where is your data about thousands dead ?
Before handing my money to some corporate crooks I demand evidence at first.
or now they will scare everyone each year to sell their crap.
deltaxcd 1 year ago
@deltaxcd
And here is my proof:
Where I live, almost no one was vaccinated, few died, mostly because of medical negligence. Most of people not even knew if they have swine or seasonal flu and nothing happened. Not sure which one I got either.
Government still boght some vaccine but almost no one used it and all went to drain.
So, be sure you were cheated, because without any vaccine we did same as you with vaccine.
Now you have clinical test that your vaccine was worthless. Ask for refund.
deltaxcd 1 year ago
@deltaxcd that's not proof. thats a fallacy of correlation. If you understand the scientific method you'd realise it's not that simple.
you're arguing from ignorance. now feel free to fuck off with it.
DarkKnightBob1o1 1 year ago
@DarkKnightBob1o1

TheManiacalSatanist 2 years ago
maybe you should watch the video again. So yes this might not be a nightmare bug with 100% death rate, but it still could cause a pandemic, just like the video says.
fireflygirl246 2 years ago
"if your exposed you will most likely get it & there is a chance you could die, but not for sure."
Chance to die... yes. But it's VERY small chance that you might die. I know five people who had it and some of them said it was much milder than "seasonal flu".
Only people who died in here Finland from it were one cancer patient and few people who had some sort of long term disease.... i hope yopu are rpoud of your fear mongering.
MokomaSusi 1 year ago
Its not fear mongering in mexico and america the people it was killing the most were people in there 20's and 30's. Thank goodness it seems to have been contained and it has not become a pandemic. but if we just ignored it and hoped it would go away then we might have had one. its not fearmongering to say its a real possible danger and people should protect themselves by getting a shot. Im not telling them to build shelter in there basement and be ready to hind there when the pandemic comes.
fireflygirl246 1 year ago
Well that just is not accurate, there are people who have died in Canada from Swine flu, because people in the States decided that Swine flu just wasn't a big deal.

Well i don't agree with few passages.
Media ARE pushing it, at least here in italy.
Everyday some journalist claim something bigger than reallity "virus has mutated", "virus is in a second stage" and Everyday is the "scientists" that have to debunk false claims.
You perhaps can explain one thing weird to me: (from the news)
"people over 65 won't need the vaccin cause they already have antibodies from a previous flu"
..really? possible? or was the Journalist wrong?
ChristianIce 2 years ago
The journalist is wrong.
Some one over 65 is in the 'at rick group.' and are among the few people who might need the vaccine.
sleepymagpie 2 years ago
"few" people who "might" need ?
Sorry, this confused me even more.
ChristianIce 2 years ago

The Grey Death was a realistic method of leverage and control.

not to mention the vaccines either don't even work ( like tamiflu ) or they are full of toxins that most other countries ( except for the US ) actually BAN for use on human beings.. like vaccines with thermasol in them ( which is Mercury sulfate )
but i could be wrong.. i guess.. if the people in my neighborhood start dying i will realizes this.. but i am pretty sure that this will not happen
phoboskitty 2 years ago
Well, that explains a lot.. your right Tamiflu doesn't work as a vaccine....it demonstrably fails to trigger the immune system into production of antibodies which fight flu.....BECAUSE IT ISNT A VACCINE. It is an anti-viral drug used to treat disease once it is already present.
If you can't tell the difference between and antiviral and a vaccine(something a 13 year old should be able to do) how the hell do you feel qualified to talk on any of this.
sleepymagpie 2 years ago
find me a 13 year old who knows what tamiflu is or how a vaccine works and ill give you a million pesos.
almussalix 2 years ago
Well, i can't provide an example with any great ease, but i will point out that aged 11, all english children should be able to you the basics of how mendellian genetics works, the underlying principles of evolution. By 13 they have already been taught over half of what they will have to learn for GCSE biology, an understanding of immunisation is certainly a requirement for a passing grade.
I know i knew it at that age.
sleepymagpie 2 years ago
what also is missed in this debate is that H1N1 just as SARS has been used in the media to generate fear, on purpose... i do not subscribe to the idea that the media are stupid they are complicit.. talking about the spanish flu is just to generate fear things are alot different than in 1905. this whole issue is pretty ridiculous and only makes the pharmaceutical companies and there share holders rich...
phoboskitty 2 years ago
No, the media really is just stupid. Like most people, your average Jurno, knows nothing at all about science. Listen to 'Ben Goldacre on The Now Show', you'll find it here on you tube. This elliquant and highly amusing rant says more about the media's lack of understanding than anything i could say.
But in short, the media isn't shilling for the Pharmaceutical companies, they don't have the understanding of science to actually do it successfully.
sleepymagpie 2 years ago
hmm interesting.. but according to the WHO what an actual pandemic * emergence of a disease new to a population; * agents infect humans, causing serious illness; and * agents spread easily and sustainably among humans.
that is what is a pandemic.. it has nothing to do with the number of people dying.. 50 people can die in a pandemic.. the media dose not mention what pandemics actually mean and freak out when 16 people die..
also the idea that it will mutate is hotly debated
phoboskitty 2 years ago
Well considerably more than 50 people have died so far from H1N1 (3205 deaths world wide) yet. It has a higher mortality and morbidity rate than seasonal flu(more people die after contracting it, more people contract it)
The fact that it will mutate, is not up for debate. The reason that new vaccines have to be developed every year for seasonal flu is that after each flu season season, the virus has mutated so much that the previous vaccine no longer offers the same level of protection.
sleepymagpie 2 years ago
40,000 people die of seasonal flu per year. 3,000 people day of Malaria EVERY SINGLE DAY, and Swine Flu, which PALES in comparison, is being considered as a pandemic? Are you fucking serious?
Idiot.
TheManiacalSatanist 2 years ago
Perhapes it would help you understand what a pandemic is.
A Phase 5 pandemic is characterized by human-to-human spread of a pathogen in at least two countries.
And human to human infection with swine flu was happening numerous countries. So ues, it was a pandemic.
At time of posting, H1N1 had a higher mortality rate than seasonal flu.
sleepymagpie 2 years ago
LOL
I love how much he generalizes and makes baseless assumptions. These random assumptions based off hygiene is one of my favorite examples here. Also failing to mention that this isn't the first or last virus that has infected people with a potential to mutate and wipe out most of the human population. Swine Flu, like most other viruses, will come and go. Other viruses failed to mutate and wipe the human species so worrying about this is like worrying about getting struck by lightning.
c0nv1ct1337 2 years ago
Well no, other pathogens didn't fail to mutate and cause massive numbers of deaths , they have done it repeatedly throughout human history. HIV, spannish flu, pneumonic and bubonic plagues...
Swine flu remains a risk, especially as we are now starting to move into the time of year when flus of all sorts start to become a genuine threat to health.
Oh and by the way, increased mobility and polulation density are dramatically increasing the risk of pandemic.
sleepymagpie 2 years ago
I agree with you to a certain extent. You are absolutely right that some viruses did not fail mutation wise and are continuing infecting and killing people. However, I've spoke to a college professor of biology, Dr. Krok, and she has repeatedly told me that while Swine flu does have the capability to mutate and kill many people, there were thousands of viruses previous to swine flu that failed to do the job. All I'm saying is we may die from the mutation from swine flu but the chances are slim.
c0nv1ct1337 2 years ago
It doesn't need to mutate, if it's virilance remains unchanged at this point we are still very likely to be in for a very bad flu year. The mortality rate of H1N1, based on current figures appears to be about 1.15%, compared to a mortality rate of between 0.06% and 0.24% in seasonal flu. Add to this a higher morbity rate than seasonal flu.
sleepymagpie 2 years ago
With all due respect to Dr. Krok, she is one lecturer, i don't even know her specialism(biology is after all a huge subject). The experts on the subject at hand consider this to be a fairly serious health risk, to large sections of all societies. They have evidence to back their position and i personally at this point will be undertaking simple actions which reduce the chances of exposure. And that is all that is all thunderf00t has ever suggested. Be aware of the threat, know how to combat it.

Yeah a ton of people died in 1918. But lets not forget the health care and general sanitation improvements between 1918 and 2009.
shamrock32 2 years ago 3
Well, consider the much-less-lethal Asian Flu pandemic of 1957 (which also followed the pattern of a weak initial virus followed by a mutation into a more virulent flu), which still killed amillion people. And in 1968 the Hong Kong flu arose, which killed about 1-3 million, and 30,000 in the UK alone. It followed the same pattern as the Spanish flu.
Health care and sanitation improved a lot between 1918 and 1970, but that didn't stop the less lethal Hong Kong flu from spreading - or killing.
nscangal 2 years ago
lets also not forget that people probably traveled much less in 1918, making such a large number impressive regardless of the quality of care available at the time.

There are already 1200 confirmed deaths due to it.
And guess what? this isn't just gonna stop, it's gonna continue to spread.

yeah 1200 people in like 1 month or something now its like 2400 if i remember right and thats in 2 month there is like more people dying from falling down from sidewalks ;) BUT because of that u shouldnt underestimate the flu

Shouldn't this guy be arrested for crimes against humanity?
baracine 2 years ago
Jones may be a crackpot, but you should get your facts straight before criticizing him. 1) Right-wing is too broad a brush, he's more of an economic conservative, and social libertarian. 2) Jones dismisses most talk of chemtrails, except for a few exceptions where there is evidence of spraying (google Bills seek to curb pesticide spray over cities for the kind of ones he talks about), of course he overblows the whole thing, but he does start from a real story unlike most chemtrail nutbags
mrronseal 2 years ago
cont. 3) His version of 9/11 nonsense is not anti-semitic, he blames the US government, not the Jews. He did talk about things like the "art student spy ring", which while a contentious issue, was a major news story in the mainstream at the time.
mrronseal 2 years ago
Also, your call for him to be arrested sounds a bit fascistic to me, in a culture of freedom of speech, you sometimes have to put up with crackpots and idiots, because freedom of speech is not here to protect your mainline accepted views, they don't need protecting. It's especially for protecting unpopular speech, that which does need defending from people like you who would lock up anyone who disagrees.

Build your immune system up:
Goldenseal & rosemary or if you don't have that, use these natural herbs:
Oregano, lavender & rosemary in teas ( fresh herbs), extra zinc & vitamin C, fresh onion soups in the week, check with the doctor for rosemary herb, as that can be damaging if used too much ( approx 3 cups of rosemary tea a week max). With those you can beat any virus or bacteria. Rosemary is antibiotic, anti-fungal and kills all bacteria. Hope this helps you people! All the Best Now!
