My parents paid $24K for our house on Blume Dr. back in '58. So wishin we didn't sell back in the mid 70's! I don't even recognize the house I grew up in. So many changes and the shopping center is incredible.
IT's pretty price to live here though, many homes are worth over 1 million$ and some more than 2 million. but it's worth the money in my opinion it's a great location with a pretty good school district. it's on the border of LA/Orange coutnies so you are within a 45 min drive of just about every thing So Cal has to offer. not trying to be biased but i really think this is one of the best areas to live in So Cal we don't have the Snobby reputation Newwport Beach has. just giving honest opin..
I'm 20 years old and now that i'm an adult i can appreciate how nice Rossmoor really is. it's a unique community because it was originally all model homes from the 60's but today many of them have been remodeld and torn down to make way for large, custom homes of all varieties and many people are still doing it today. I swear this place looks more and more like Beverl Hills every year with all of the nice/large homes being built. this video gives only a glimpse of what Rossmoor really looks like
We were stationed at the L.A.air station from '77-80 and my husband thought $120,000 for a house in Rossmoor was just outrageous and I couldn't convince him that it was a Class A place to live. I worked at the Hospital and so regret not staying there.
Such memories! I lived in Los Alamitos from '95-97. My boyfriends parents lived in Rossmoor! I am pretty sure I saw there house there...LOL. I really miss it there.
