I don't like where Ubisoft took this series...."Conviction" was not a stealth game and there are way too many action TPS games on the market right now....which was the reason I liked Splinter Cell in the first place, it WAS SOMETHING DIFFERENT, opposed to the lets-shoot- the-fuck-out-of-the-enemy game. I like "Double Agent", Chaos Theory was the best of the series IMO

This for PS3 or MGS4 for PS3? I like the Splinter Cell games, but I don't know if I should get this or MGS4, MGS4 looks like it is more of a run and gun with a little stealth, and my favorite games are stealth games. And does this have a split screen with a friend in the same house for PS3?

Well seeing how conviction improved on so many things, like the way it handles stealth, loading screens, and objective markers, that's saying a lot already.

The controls on DA suck pretty hard, just to figure out how to play this one took a few tries just to figure out.

Conviction is still better in my books

@Hutzom conviction is awesome but you cant really go through rooms with out killing anyone like the old splinters and DA and theres no score sheet , bonus objectives , or incentives to go stealth

Point taken, the score sheets were nice, but if you are playing on expert the incentive was all there, if you didn't want to die right there you had to be stealth. You had to make it your own challenge to go through rooms without being seen, that's what I like, the choice. Some days I was ok with going through killing guys, but I could always challenge myself too

Here's another thing, the old splinters, DA, it took along time to go through. You couldn't go through 11 missions in just 6hours like conviction. Even if you where taking your time with conviction you could still go through it insanly faster than the other ones. Also you cant even hide the bodies in conviction. Il give conviction a little credit, it have awesome cover system, easyer to shoot your gun and the hand to hand kills look cooler.

@Anthony2523 i actually didnt mind conviction all that much since it was a completely different reason as to why he is doing the things he does, in the originals he is an agent, in conviction he is trying to find his daughter and doesnt have to be stealthy, thats why he just goes balls to the wall, just to find his kid

@MrGuitarist92 Once one disc turns green, you begin turning with the analog stick anti-clockwise. And then once the next turns green, you change back to clockwise. and so on and so forth. And be slow in turning, otherwise it ends up screwing up.

@AxlDanne PS3/Xbox 360/PC. I would recommend this because of greater graphics but can be laggy and most of the missions are in the JBA HQ, unlike the PS2 version. But it is still worth the how-much it costs.

@AxlDanne The story line in the Xbox 360 version is pretty much the same but has some differences. Example in the generation six games (PS2,Xbox.Gamecube) Cole Yeagher was one of the members of the JBA but int the generation seven games (PS3,Xbox 360,PC) Cole Yeagher was a helicopter pilot who got Sam and Jamie out of Ellsworth Penitentary. Small differences like that only exist basically. The missions are a bit different too, as there is no money train mission (Sad,right?) but there is Shangai

@TheSimpleDudeOne Third Echleon (Lamberts organization) Sent sam to jail (undercover) so he would meet a guy named jamie (the guy in JBA) so they would escape and sam would go over with them for undercover ops but then JBA finds lambert and sam talking and sams punishment is to stay with JBA and shoot lambert :)

Chaos Theory is the best Splinter Cell, but the Xbox and PS2 version of this game were pretty good. It's cool, but they dumbed down the fun and thinking since you can't knock out people and since you sneak in the daytime which is ridiculous, but the Shanghai level is one of the best levels ever!

Splinter Cell 1 and 3:Chaos Theory were developed by Ubisoft Montreal.

Splinter Cell 2: Pandora Tomorrow were made by Ubisoft Shanghai.

Splinter Cell Double Agent on Xbox,GC,PS2 were made by Ubisoft Montreal(better version)

Splinter cell double agent on xbox 360, ps3, pc were made by ubisoft shanghai(worse version)

shanghai make shit scs, and montreal make better
