  • Back when music was good, people cared about them selves, dressed nice, economy was good. never complained about their problems in songs and they were always happy. damn i wish i was born then!

  • @williamae2 this is about a serial killer.......

  • @NaryaRingOfFire Yeah, but a nicely dressed one. ;)

  • dean martin never ever drank on stage he only drank apple juice to pretend it was whiskey a proper pro rip deno

  • good song, good vocalist. But sorry, Bobby does it best.

  • 1940 would've been a great year to be born in, because I'd be 19 when this came out.

    *sigh*

  • @MrDukeOfUSA I agree , i wish i was born then :(

  • @TheRedFutures *cries gently*

  • Nothing better than Dino....

  • Very mellow Dean as usual, rest in peace.

  • I always loved Dean Martin...i watched a great old western he did just yesterday...it's called 'Five card stud'...he was a terrific Actor...and a great singer...someone told me his image as a lush was greatly exaggerated...i can believe it because he sure accomplished a lot in his career ...he recorded albums...did several excellent movies...had his own t.v. show ...did the celebrity roasts...what a talent.I love that era of entertainment...Dean was one of the best.

  • @lightfoot828 His image was highly exaggerated, yes! Frank Sinatra once said "I spill more than he drinks." If he had drunk as much as people thought he did, he'd never have got up in the morning, let alone been the star of a hit show. It was a very effective persona, though. :)

Dino made a lot of Westerns. If you've not seen them yet, try "Rio Bravo" and "The Sons Of Katie Elder". They're particularly good.

  • I was minus 28 when this came out!!!

  • Actually this surpasses Frankie's and Bobby's renditions. Deano has nailed this.

  • woa! this slinky, sleezy tune suits Deano soooo very well. Good backing band makes it tops, otherwise Deano would be 'easy' karaoke, which was about his standard.

  • sorry bobby, Dean is the best, cant beat him

  • OHH god i love dino being only 19 years old this guy has a sense of class in him

  • yaaaaaas this is great ,where do a get it ? please

  • @rabblue It's not available anywhere commercially, I'm afraid. It's just a performance that he did once on a TV show. If you want a copy, your best bet is to download it from here.

  • @eocarcharia Dean did this song often specially in life shows find his london 1983 song yopu can see he is doing life in that show Even on cd yuo can find Greetihngs from netherlands jan oh i love him doing this song too.

  • Dean can do no wrong it might not be the best version ,but it is Dino and hes the best

  • I almost thought it was Bobby Darin, he sounds a lot like him.

  • Come on ,, u must admit Dean can sing any thing!!

  • I'm 142 years old and I love lady gaga

  • never heard Dean sing this before.. its great thanks for sharing

is it out on any cds????

  • @dinovilles Hi. No, as far as I know this isn't available anywhere commercially. I try to only post stuff that isn't. It's lifted from a TV appearance, and I suspect that the quality wouldn't be considered good enough for an official release. A shame, as it seems very popular!

  • @eocarcharia

wow !!! thanks for this buddy, excellent.

  • He was just so charismatic loved him

  • 0 dislikes because dean martin and the rest of the rat pack are musical gods

  • Wow! While this is certainly Bobby's song, Dino definitely does the next best version!

  • Im 15 and I love Dean Martin sooo much x

  • Deano is great but he ain't no Bobby Darin...or Satchmo...

  • I known all about Dean and his songs. But this song I heard it to the first time.

  • First I've heard Dean singing this one - top-notch, of course... He's the top!

  • Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I had no idea Dean sang this song! Great as always. RIP Dino.

  • ive died and gone to heaven! one of my fav songs of all time! never knew Dean did it, thanks sooo much for the upload! :)

  • Where can i get this version of this song it is great. Just shows Dino can sing anything! a real treasure.

  • @sixchild19 It's from one of Dino's old TV specials, with guests Frank Sinatra and Mickey Rooney. I doubt you'd find it anywhere legally nowadays (oh for some proper boxsets!), so your best bet is probably to download it from here.

  • @eocarcharia eh Frank did it better and with a little more oomph!

  • thank you for your answering, and may be...

  • never heard this song by dean before, thank you for posting it.

Have you many others like that ?

I'm looking for a good version of you alone.

one exist but to many cracks ..

    thanks a lot

  • @mouflette48 I think all the oddities that I have are from old radio shows, or sometimes audio recordings of old TV shows. They all tend to be a bit crackly, I'm afraid! I'll keep an eye out for that one, though.
