OOOOHHH MAN!! 8:01......thats the worst. oh, yea, been playin this since it came out, still playin it in 2011. great, simple, addicting gameplay, awesome intellegent soundtrack.
I still have this game. Big Boulder Alley and Boulder Alley are the two hardest levels in the entire game. Honey Bee Hollow and Uncanny Crusher are 2 levels I also tend to Game Over on.
@256pi processing power and storage was VERY precious around the time this game came out, so if anything was in the levels, it either gave you points...or it killed you
@YoAmorEspana he is right becuase if you have xp or higher the music wont play but you can get some of the music if you play it like a music disc. SOME not all.
this is THE best PC game i bought around its time, Awesome music, Awesome levels, Awesome Multiplayer, Awesome game, low replay value wen u get all gold frogs.
The music is part of the game. If you have the PC version, it usually won't play the music. You'll have to get the Playstation version to get the music.
ATTENTION: i sold my ps1 and ps1 games ages ago now but i bought Frogger and Frogger 2 off Ebay and going to buy a ps1 off Ebay. But my question is since my frogger games i bought were from America and i'm in Australia if i bought an Australian version of a ps1 would it play frogger and frogger 2 from America? please reply.
p.s. you're like the best frogger player ever next to my dad when he used to stay up into the night with my mom and play these levels over and over again =)
tumbling valley is well hard i find. :| i have actually given up on it. you make it look so easy because your so good at it! I've lost the msuic on my pc. and the tumble weeds aren;t as fast on pc
in the regular boulder alley, on the PC version, I always got 75 seconds of time. for the first 2 weeks when I was on boulder alley, I always couldn't figure out where to go. I could only get 3 of the frogs on the level.
Same here. It seems most of the "new" Frogger games except this one are below par, which is a shame considering how good this one is.
This game will always remain a classic to me. Props to the people who put a lot of effort into making the game and the excellent soundtrack to go with it.
I always found Bouldert Alley hard because of the strict time limit, and all those bugs. Big Boulder Alley is definately a harder level but at least they give you more time.
Yeah, although I prefer to just avoid them rather than superhop over them when given the chance. Lava Crush gave me a headache because I hadn't done the level in a long time and forgot how exactly to get the green frog.
Although you pretty much listed all the hard levels in the game, one that I can think of is Bow Wow Revenge, if not just for those rabid dogs. Not only are they fast, but they can stumble and trick you into moving when you think they've passed you.
Yeah, I never do that insane part with the beetles and vultures. To be honest, I don't see how they expect you to do that part at all. It might just be a big "screw you" to the people who don't find the easier route.
I came very close to beating the level (I think it was on this try too), but I died going for the last frog (the green one). Damn crocodiles...
One other thing is even if you do take the long and ridiculously hard way, you're almost guaranteed to run out of time (on the PSX version, anyway). Even with the easier way I only have 10-15 seconds left by the time I get to the crocodiles.
I always do it the harder way (in either version) and even in the PSX version, I can make it to the green frog without ever seeing the countdown. You just have to go really fast and take some risks here and there. I just don't like shortcuts - I feel like I'm cheating. I'll post a video of this eventually once I get FRAPS.
Insane game. Love it, still play it, miss the old days where friends talked about this. Now it's utterly extinct. Thank god for Youtube.

There should be a sign at the beginning of the first cactus level saying 'Warning some of these obstacles may only be suitable for Chuck Norris'.

Do you know if they added this to like PSN or XBLA?

Level 4, Crumbled Point. It's in the canyon wall on the left, just past the buffaloes, in between the beetles and snakes.

this game is cool, I don't collect the frogs, I explore the level, I found lots of Glod frogs that way.

What was the hardest level for you besides these?
Big Boulder Alley
Boulder Alley
Crumbled Point
Frogger Goes Skiing
Uncanny Crusher
Reservoir Frogs
Boom Boom Barrel
Lava Crush
Mine was Mower Mania. Just look at the mowers go. Did you know that you can superhop over them? Lava Crush was easy for me. :)
karmew32 4 years ago
Yeah, although I prefer to just avoid them rather than superhop over them when given the chance. Lava Crush gave me a headache because I hadn't done the level in a long time and forgot how exactly to get the green frog.

atrocity3010 4 years ago
There's a shortcut in Big Boulder Alley to help you get to the east side of the level more easily. Follow these steps.
1. As always, superhop over the beetles.
2. Head north, but do not go to the large beetle part. Instead go to West Boulder Mountain.
3. Head north watching for boulders until you get north of the cactus and hop right. You are now in the east side of the level!
karmew32 4 years ago
Yeah, I never do that insane part with the beetles and vultures. To be honest, I don't see how they expect you to do that part at all. It might just be a big "screw you" to the people who don't find the easier route.
I came very close to beating the level (I think it was on this try too), but I died going for the last frog (the green one). Damn crocodiles...

NickBush24's walkthrough for Big Boulder Alley does it the hard way (beetles and vultures).
karmew32 4 years ago
